
Schweinsteiger Joins Real Madrid

Real Madrid have continued on their shopping spree with the signing of up and coming German midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger. Schweinsteiger, the 21 year old with 20 international caps, joins the club from Bayern Munich for a reported transfer fee of ?14 million.
"I am absolutely delighted to have joined Real Madrid, this is a great opportunity for myself to develop as a player. Obviously the chance to play with some of the biggest names in football is a major attraction for any young footballer. The big signings Guus has made during his time here allready (Steven Gerrard and Fabio Cannavaro) have been really impressive."
Schweinsteiger said on his arrival at the Bernabau.

Real Madrid assistant coach Paulo Campos spoke to the media on behalf of the team at the arrival of Schweinsteiger, who has opted to join the squad immediately in an attempt to play in the clubs next warm up match against Nice on Tuesday 26th of July.
"Its great to have Bastian here at the club. He has allready proven that he is a quality player throughout his time at Bayern aswell as his performances in the German national team. Bastian just gives us another option on both the left and right flanks."
Campos said at the welcoming press conference for Schweinsteiger
