Hi my name is Ankit & i played a lot of times Cricket 2002.
It is TRUE to say that the Cricket 2002 game:-
1. Has many bugs.
2. Less features.
3. Less Stadiums.
4. No Domestic teams.
5. Bad Artificial Intelligence.
6. Graphics quite OK. But player models were not to that standard.
7. Commentary was good hearing first time but worse hearing again and again and again and ................. I think you all got my point.
8. Very few cups and tournaments.
9. Cinematics were quite good as this was first time introduced in any Cricket game. But I like to have more in Cricket 2004 and much of them should be of Player's Expressions, thier nervouseness, thier delightness and also sometimes of thier dumbness on the field.
10. And what about the Wicket Keeper. He was So Exciting, So Brilliant, So Great, So So is enough now that was all lie about the keeper. As you all know.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
But I must forget about Cricket 2002 or any previous game and should come into today's time of technology and equipments that the game developers have.
We can expect so much from them and they can too deliver the game that we could have only dream of.
But there are few things which doesn't make our dream true :-
1. The technology that the game developers have are quite high enough which our computers won't be able to handle only. We will be need-
Pentium 10, GB's of RAM, Directx20.0, 1Gb Graphic Gard, etc.
to play these sort of games.
2. They can really make true to life players, stadiums, crowds and all the finest to finest detailsthat one can only dream of. But then again all this will be needing 4-5 CD's to fit in all the contents.
3. And the last but not the least thing is that the millions of dollars are spent to make these games. And the company steps back again and only be able to produce such games if the Cricket market would have been large enough to make them enough money to reinvest them in future series of the Cricket game.
As 85% of the people are unware of the Cricket.
Out of this 15% most of the people are from India and India has indeed a poor economy and many just can't afford to buy it.
Now you can yourself assume how much return would be the developers will be getting to produce another great game years after years. That's just impossible for them to invest much in Cricket games.
My Message here is that-
YOU HAVE TO GO WITH THE CURRENT TECHNOLOGY THAT ALL COMPUTERS CAN STAND.
