Red Dead Redemption

Defo getting this game as well very soon. Just waiting for the right price on EBay.

Does anybody know where I can get the game on PS3 for under $75 in Australia?

just get it on thehut.com its at $68. It's at kmart for $80 too

I'm trading in a couple of games I don't play then getting it for $50 at EB

Getting it tommorow I hope. Holiday's now so should have some big sessions with it.

Got it today and have so far played an hour or two of it. It's class and I cannot wait to keep playing it deeper. There's soooo much stuff to do and it is quite confusing ATM but hopefully I'll get to grips soon.

Big news too that FREE DLC containing online co-op will be coming out. I don't think I've seen much free DLC on a good game since I got my PS3 1 and a half years ago.

Can't wait to get it. 20-40 hours is massive. If I bought this game, and my internet connection was suddenly to stop working for a few months, I wouldn't be too unhappy since the single player alone looks like enough to merit the pricetag. Whereas with the two other games I have, Uncharted 2 and BC 2, I'd be unhappy if such a thing were to happen.

I've spent 4 hours on it for 7% completion. Be a bit more than 20-40, then again, I'm not doing any of the fast travelling stuff. It's quite fun to sprint with the horse.

It's an exceptional game, it really is.

Dammit, do I need to get this?

Some quick questions:

1)Is it basically GTA in the Wild West? Is it a massive free roam environment offline?

2) is the online component the major part of the game or the offline

3) what sets this apart from GTA (besides different scenario)

I've only played it for a little bit so these answers might not be compeltely right.

1) Yes, pretty much. The maps probably as big an San Andreas but quite detailed aswell.

2) Haven't played online yet, but apparently it's the goods. I think you could get this game even without online play. But in online you can do free roam with mates or the usual CTF etc.

3) It seems a bit more 'classier' for me anyway so far. The missions are so far a lot better and in-depth.
