Religious?

I know it is quite a personal question, but I was wondering how many people here are religious, in any way? PLease don't let this become a "Your religion is bad" thread, just discuss why you believe in what you have been told.

EDIT - I know the rules say you prefer to not have religious discussion, but if it sensible can it be kept open?

I am very religious, but do find some of the Old Testament hard to stomach. I do however believe Jesus was the son of God

I'm not as religious as I should be, I believe in my faith a lot just don't practice it.

The trouble with these threads is that people take offence even when subjectively sensible posts are made.
We had too many religious threads that have ended with members leaving, irrepairably damaging their relationship with other members etc.
Religious faith is a sincere and personal thing and we're keen to keep it personal.

I don't believe in God, and if im honest i couldnt care less about the beliefs of Christians and Jews. It'd be alright if i actually thought there could possibly be a God, but i follow the scientific approach to how the Earth was formed, and it doesnt consist of some bearded bloke putting it together in a week. The bible's full of crap, Noahs Ark being a prime example, there is absoloutely zero chance that anyone could get 2 of EVERY species on a fricking boat. Also, whats with there being all of these different religions, it'd be more believable if everyone believed in 1 specific God, but there's so many, and even if there is a God, it can only be the one from one religion, so quite a few billion people are believing lies.

My grandparents on my Dad's side are really religious but i've never been remotely religious. I dont believe in God, i dont believe in any of this spiritualist crap either. What is with them idiotic mediums who think they can speak to they dead with the dead giving them kryptic clues, if they were really talking to the deceased why dont they ask them for their full name instead of someone whos name begins with P who's interested in football, could be anyone. I understand that people have their own beliefs, and i have no problem with that, and can see why people believe that, but personally i think it's a load of crap.
