I just looked on Codemasters and in Australia it is being called Ricky Ponting International Cricket (sorry if it has been brought up before). Does anyone know if it will be renamed in any other countries (like Sachin Tendulkar International cricket - India...)?

Yes as of now its only Brian Lara and Ricky Ponting.

A market such as in India where piracy is common is not worth investing in by changing the PR and marketing campaign.

Thats a very valid comment. I hate to say this but pirated copies are readily available in my hometown of Mumbai for as low as Rs. 50 (about 70p) :(

I actually had a pirated copy of Cricket 2002 a month before it was officially released in Mumbai. The installer had some error and the game dint work, and that was the last time I purchased any pirated cd. :noway

Also I guess Codemasters only releases an Australian and a West Indies version of their Cricket games. If I am not wrong, I think BLC and SWC are the same game basically.

Taking about piracy and price......

Those fools living out side India, don't know how much an average Indian middle class can spent on original CDs.I feel CDs are too costly.

If they are going to give original at a price of about Rs.500 indstead of Rs1000
It would be easier to buy.

But I have it as a policy that I won't but pirated cricket games as it would ****** the development of cricket games.i don't care of other sports so I don't but other sports games.

True the cd's are priced too high. All sports games range between 1400 to 2000.(Rs)
That is too much for an indian middle class.
It would be better to get it written from someone who has it.

dosent make sense too when you get the pirated version well before the release of the original wholl wait for it
