Just saw on the BBC website that he's died. Really sad. One of the true legends and characters of the game. A saddening loss for snooker.

RIP

Ah The Hurricane is no more! Farewell my man. No one was like The Hurricane. At a time when snooker was a bit elitist he was a breath of fresh air.:(

Saw this on the news. Sigh. So many people are dying around 50-70 these days. RIP.

The sad thing is that if anyone wants an idea of how to muck things up in life they only have to see the last few photos of his life on the BBC website. Anyway I will remember his cocky, arrogant open shirted flounce as he scampered around the table with mock utter contempt for all and sundry. Before Jimmy White, before Ronny O Sullivan there was The Hurricane...may your soul be at peace.

Was an amazing talented player, even more so than Ronnie possibly?

R.I.P.

Don't think anyone can have the natural eye for the game Ronnie has. If he was "there", mentally, he'd win every tournament he's in.

Sad day for the sport, the George Best of snooker, but what an incredible talent.

Indeed - he was breathtaking to watch. RIP, Hurricane. :(

Bloody cancer.
