Advanced Signature Tutorial
Guys since everyone has started making tutorials I thought I might have a go.
First open up a 300x100 document and fill it black.
Then get got to Filter-Render-Lens Flare and set it where your going to put your render later.
What you need to do now is get the smudge tool with a soft brush around 35px and smudge the flare across the sig like so:
Right render time, I'm going to use a render you won't of seen much of:
Next put your render on the sig but don't resize it, duplicate it until your renders cover the background and merge all those layers together.
Next you create an X brush.
Open a new document 40x40 and type the letter X in arial font size 40.
Then go to Edit-Define brush preset.
Then using the X brush you just made, smudge the background render layer you made with the following settings.
It should look something like this:
Set this layer on colour dodge, duplicate it and set that layer to overlay.
Place your render where you put your lens flare earier.
Duplicate your render twice and hide them both.
Take out your X brush and smudge this render and leave it on normal.
Duplicate this layer 4 times.
Set the first one to colour dodge.
Set the next one to overlay.
Set the next one to linear dodge.
Set the last one to overlay.
Unhide you render layers leave one on normal and the other one
go to filter-distort-wave and click randomise until you have something you like and set it to soft light. Erase anything you don't like.
Find your favorite C4D's, you can either go get Matt's C4D's or go to Google Images.
I just reduced the opaticy to 25% but its what ever suits you.
Erase what you don't want.
Create a new layer and go to image-apply image.
Go to filter-brush strokes-spatter and use the following settings:
Leave it on normal.
Go to Fiter-Distort-Ripple with these settings:
Then repeat the ripple.
Then go to filter-sharpen-sharpen and set it to lighten 100%
Erase anything think you don't like.
If there is anything to dark or to light at this point create a new layer and using a soft brush with either black or white colour those parts in.
Set then to soft light.
If only made a small change to mine so no point showing it.
Add Gradient maps or colour balances to improve the colour of you sig.
Create a new layer and go to image-apply image.
Go to filter-blur-gassian blur and set it to 2.
Set it lighten and erase the unwanted parts.
If your still unsatisfiyed with the colour use a gradient map.
Create a new layer with soft light set and brush the bits which are to dark.
For border, highlight all the sig and go to edit-stroke, 1px and colour black.
For text I used English text I think its in Matt's fonts if not it'll be on:
www.dafont.com
I added drop shadow and stroke to it.
Create another new layer and go to image-apply image,
then filter-sharpen-sharpen.
Finally set on lighten and erase what you don't want.
