@ABDULLAH , @CerealKiller

Our top order completely faltered there. Amla was the lone warrior, and he played really well considering the pitch. Not too much to say about Ben Slater and Sam Hain, as they played their first match only. Will be backing them to come good in further matches, considering their List A records, it's not easy to pin them down.

Morgan should have played more responsibily considering the vast experience he has, and same for Watto. Bopara and Davey did their best to give us a fighting total, and Starc was frickin' awesome. We just couldn't go past the Stokes hurdle. Gregory was really expensive there, and shouldn't have bowled his full quote :facepalm

@Parth D Told you backing Ravi would be good.
Need to sort out our middler order I guess!

The top-order played with caution which ensured us a good start . Colin then took the responsibility to carry forward the score . His partnership with van der Merwe was a notable part of our innings .....

The bowling unit combined hard to defend the total . Abbott picking 2 wickets in the first 2 overs provided the ideal start for us . The most important thing was that of the bowlers taking wickets at right moments . They bowled exceptionally well to ABD-Russell (especially) , and didn't allow them to hit the ball & go berserk .....

Awful start by the openers. Thankfully Babar showed his class and didn’t let the run rate drop. Malan helped with a solid knock, but i feel he needed to hit out or get out earlier, to give Buttler more deliveries to face. He showed a small glimpse of what he can do in his short innings. Pope was fantastic, keeping up the momentum after Babar was out, and was unlucky to miss a deserved hundred, as was Malan.
QDK was fantastic for them, but we kept getting his partners out, and apart from Trego, nobody really settled alongside him. Well done by all the bowlers. We need to bring this form into the next match and start building some momentum.

Really disappointed by my openers and lower-order's performance. Stokes was surprisingly slow, and that really made me worry a bit. But thankfully the target wasn't all that much courtesy of our bowlers' tight performances. Just hope we could've done a lot better as a team whilst chasing, because that looked like an over dependancy Smith-Labuschagne when we've got generally good local players.

KENT 261/8 50.0 overs
KL Rahul 60 (55) Sam Curran 5/40 (10.0)
Virat Kohli 54 (43) James Anderson 2/37 (10.0)

LEICESTER 258/7 50.0 overs

Sam Billings 80 (105) Toby Roland-Jones 3/28 (10.0)
Jason Roy 60 (43) Ryan ten Doeschate 1/27 (6.0)

Kent won by 3 runs Man of the match: KL Rahul

Points - Kent 3, Leicester 1

This is really a very disappointing result, to be honest. Coming so close to the victory and then failing to cross the line :facepalm. Sam Billings played a very steady inning, without him, of course, we would have not made it this far, but having the strike in the final over, he should have scored the remaining runs easily. Jason Roy was very impressive in the start of the innings, scoring quick runs. The bowlers did a good job from my point of view. In this pitch 261 is a chase'able score, Sam Curran always impresses me with his performance. The main reason I see for losing the game is the failure of two Indian batsmen whom I thought would take us home, They failed to impress today but knowing what they both can do, am sure they will take me home in the future games. I think tweaking a little for our next game would provide me with a better result.

Overall an entertaining game for the crowd.

Despite having a decent start, we failed to cash in on the opportunity. Babar, Malan and Pope showed resistance and that really paid off. That cameo from Buttler costed us the game. Had he batted a bit longer, things would have been disastrous for us. Qdk showed intent but it was the other end that kept falling apart. Chasing a total of 300+ runs was never going to be easy. Credit to their bowlers as well.

Not desirous of making changes to the previous lineup but considering the injury based system of the league. A couple of changes for Somerset.

The bowling was going good but couldn't take wickets at crucial time. Dockrell did well with the ball.
Batsmen showed potential but couldn't convert the starts.
Their bowlers werr on the job striking out batsmen at the right time.

Gregory goes out, and Carter comes in to provide a spin option to the team. I just hope Mitchell Starc doesn't break himself :p

Hoping Hain and Morgan show their class...

@Parth D to confirm
