Which points system?

That was a Rohit special as we know how dangerous and long does he go when settled ...

The opening stand lay the perfect foundation for a 300 run chase . Bairstow played his natural aggressive game , while Luke Wright played a responsible & supportive innings from the other end . A tough chase that was . And an excellent finish by Patel & van der Merwe scoring at nearly 10 runs an over . They both handled the last overs pressure quite well plus that being in a chase . The batsmen deserve all the credits here . Really , a morale booster for the team this win .........

Our bowling seems to be gone in the dark ......

Great to get back to winning ways. Losing Ackermann was a really big blow. It showed in our batting performance today, as only Hales played a significant innings. All the supporting cameos were enough, thankfully, because Shaheen and the bowlers were so good. Hoping Malan can adjust to opening, that was the only place i could find for him in the lineup.

That was an interesting game, unfortunate that we lost. It's good to see Rohit back on his feet, bowlers were very disappointing, to be honest, and I guess our Middle orders failed too. Tim even though was taking wickets gave to many runs. Lot of works to be done for improvement. Hope we have enough matches to pull through the league without any damages. I guess Henry has to make a come back from the next game but it will be a tough choice to balance the game.

POST LINEUPS - ROUND 7

POINTS TABLE (It's done and dusted now, implemented according to how poll has favored. I'm not going to entertain discussions on this matter anymore. If anything is being said about it, I'll ignore and just carry on. :))
STATISTICS

activity.png
  1. * NEW * Generally batsmen playing outside their original position will face deduction in ratings. But you can use 5 points to retain a batsman's original ratings irrespective of his batting position.
  2. Can not use more than 3 points in full on a single player. If you still want to upgrade a player after a full 3 points boost, points will be divided in half. For example you'll need to spend 7 points on a player to buy a 5 points rating upgrade (3 full points + 4/2 additional points)
  3. You may also use 3 points as fitness points to ensure a player does not get injured anytime during the tournament.
  4. You may spend any number of points now and save the remaining points for later.
  5. You can only use numbers in whole and not fractions.
  6. Post your upgrades and lineup for upcoming round together.
  7. Once the points are used, changes will not be reverted.
- All :eng: English, :ire: Irish & Kolpak (Colin Ingram, Parnell, etc) players are considered as locals (:local:).
- All :sco: Scottish players are considered locals as well as associates.
- A lineup must include

  • Maximum 3 Overseas :os: & Minimum 8 Locals :local: , if :purpo: parity player is playing. (Only ONE :purpo: player is allowed.)
  • Maximum 4 Overseas :os: & Minimum 7 Locals :local: , if :purpo: parity player is not playing.
  • At least 1 Associate (:local:/:os:)
  • A designated Wicket-Keeper :wk:/:wkb:.
  • 6 bowling :bwl:/:ar: options.
In case you want to go with 5 genuine bowling options, a few overs (min 0 to max 5) may be bowled by random players. It's all up to sim. Sometimes these part-timers may end up being costly, sometimes they may even prove beneficial. Sometimes they won't ball at all. It's your chance to take.
  • A captain.
  • Injuries will be part of this league, so try rotating your lineups. Players with heavy workloads likely to get injured most. As well as there can be training injuries. Players may miss out on 1 to 5 games.
  • Try posting lineup within 48 hours from this post; else lineup from previous round will be retained.
Match 25, Somerset v Leicester at County Ground, Taunton
Pitch: Slow/Damp

Match 26, Surrey v Nottinghamshire at The Oval, Kennington
Pitch: Dry

Match 27, Middlesex v Yorkshire at Lord's, London
Pitch: Even

Match 28, Essex v Kent at County Ground, Chelmsford
Pitch: Even
1. Dry - A run scoring deck but helpful to top-quality spinners. Currently hard pitch type means ALL sorts of bowlers face points deduction. But in this case, only fast bowlers' points would be dropped and spinners points would stay put.

2. Dusty - Spinners points' will be improved drastically. Make sure most of your overs be bowled by spinners. Opening batsmen get a slight boost because ball is hard in early stages and it's not supposed to turn. A slight deduction in fast bowlers' points.

3. Green - Two of the fast bowlers who are most likely to open get a major boost. All other pacers in the team see moderate improvement. Spinners' points will be reduced to make sure they're hit for more than 7 rpo (although subject to simulator). Top 3 batsmen's ratings reduced considerably because new ball tends to move more than it would in latter stage of the innings and batsmen are likely to miss attempted shots often.

4. Damp/Slow - All types of bowlers get rating boost; batsmen face heavy deduction. Exactly an opposite scenario of hard pitch type.

5. Hard - Runs!!

6. Even/Normal - Balanced for everyone.
  • 0.2 Points if you post lineup. Can only be availed if the lineup is posted within given time frame.
  • 0.5 (or after 24 hrs from match have passed then 0.3) points if you comment on your team's performance after the match.
  • 0.8 (or after 24 hrs from match have passed then 0.5) points if your comments are constructive enough. (Should consist of more than 4 meaningful sentences.)
  • * NEW * Lineups for FIVE consecutive rounds will get you 1.0 and reviews/comments (of any sort, shorter/longer) after FIVE consecutive rounds will get you 3.0 additional points.
  • Points will be granted only once per team. No additional points for multiple comments from a manager or managers.
  • You can use credited points after third, sixth, tenth, fourteenth round.
  • Can not use more than 3 points in full on a single player. If you still want to upgrade a player after a full 3 points boost, points will be divided in half. For example you'll need to spend 7 points on a player to buy a 5 points rating upgrade (3 full points + 4/2 additional points)
  • Once the points are used, changes will not be reverted.
:os: :ind: :wkb: Ambati Rayudu (Yorkshire) misses four rounds.
Has fully recovered and is available for upcoming match at his full capacity.

:os: :ned: :ar: Colin Ackerman (A)(Surrey) misses three rounds.
Match fit after round 8.

:local: :eng: :bwl: Craig Overton (Somerset) misses two rounds.
Match fit after round 7.

:local: :sco: :bat: Kyle Coetzer (A)(Leicester) misses three rounds.
Match fit after round 9.

Next upgrades to be open after round 10. So try to make most of it now.
