TRI-NATIONS TOUR- I am playing as South Africa
It has been a decade or it feels like it, that I have posted in here at Planet, but now that?s all to change!

It?s the start of Tri-Nations campaign, and in here I want to share with you the glory and my sadness in a thrilling cover up in rugby this time and not cricket!

Stay tuned for fixtures, match results and match photos

The Boks went to Australia with a mission, to win the opening match against Australia in the first of a two leg match for the Mandela Cup, much like the real game turned to be, Australia Dominated every thing but here was the line-up for the Boks and the Wallabies:
1.Os Du Randt 1.Bill Young
2.Gary Botha 2.Jeremy Paul
3.Richard Bands 3.Al Baxter
4.AJ Venter 4.Justin Harrison
5.Victor Matfield 5.Nathan Sharpe
6.Schalk Burger 6.Rocky Elsom
7.Joe Van Niekerk 7.Goerge Smith
8.Anton Leonard ? 8.David Lyons
9.Fourie Du Preez 9.Goerge Gregan ?
10.Brent Russel 10.Stephen Larkham
11.Breyton Paulse 11.Lote Tuquiri
12.Jean De Villiers 12.Matt Giteau (K)
13.Bryan Habana 13.Stirling Mortlock
14.Akuna Undungane 14.Wendell Sailor
15.Percy Montgomery (K) 15.Matt Rogers

this was a classic in my Books, even though I lost it was really a game to remember, it was Matt Rogers scoring the first try after 15 min and it was unconverted by Giteau (5-0), 5 min later Australia collapsed a driving maul of South Africa and sat up a penalty which Monty landed through the sticks (5-3) with 35 min gone in the First half, suddenly Sailor found himself 5 meters short of the line, he saw Monty and had Larkham next to him , he drew Monty and popped it into Larkham?s hands and Larkham did the rest by scoring, the try was converted by Giteau, Halftime Score (12-3)

If South Africa had a chance to win they had to score first after half time, it was 8 min into the second half when Habana broke the Wallabies defense, Matt Rogers made a telling tackle on Habana but, it was picked up Gary Botha who drove himself over the line under the posts, Monty converts (12-10), 26 min into the game and still the score remains the same, Gregan picks and drive, but the Boks are offside setting a kick for Giteau (15-10), just two minutes later the same thing happened and Leonard opted that Monty went for posts rather kicking for touch (15-13) a good day for Monty so far , 34 minutes gone and the Wallabies has possession, Mortlock through the middle of the gap, he is tackled near the 22, Gregan is there, he passes to Larkham, Larkham has a look he kicks and its over three points (18-13), 1 minute to go, Russel restarts its dropped by Elsom, Van Niekerk bombards himself thru the Wallabies Defense still advantage, he passes but its dropped by Matfield, the scrum is won by the wallabies, Gregan passes to Larkham and he boots it out the Wallabies win at home (18-13)

1ST HALF - Australia started with a bang and expectations that Australia could beat a chopped and changed squad of SA was looking good, inside the first 5 minutes the Aussies found themselves knocking on the SA try line, but heart was in the SA defense not allowing a inch, with all the pressure Tybilika creped offside and gave Giteau a easy looking kick to take (0-3). South Africa responded inside 3 minutes to score with Chavanga on the wing after broken play; Monty converted it in the 12th minute (7-3)
After that play was dead, kicking for territory and feeling each other out, but it all changed when Sailor ran through the whole SA defense scoring a beaut and leaving Giteau to convert eyes closed (7-10), with more or less 3 minutes left Percy leveled scores with a monster 51 m kick (10-10)
HALFTIME
SA (10)(10) AUS

2nd HALF- What a start and what a finish, South Africa started of just like Australia did, but this time South Africa scored a try in the 42nd minute of play, two after kick off, Monty missed the kick, but sat up SA to lead (15-10), after that play, play was rather sloppy, knocking of balls and bad kicking by both Flyhalfs, when Australia found a chance to score, their hands let them down, the closest the Wallabies came was 5 meters to the tryline on 73rd minute the second half, but great effort the Boks turned over possession and Habana raced away from his 22 to score one of the greatest tries in history of rugby, Monty converted (22-10), Aus down and out
