1st T20I, Australian Tour of UAE 2018
Series Level 0-0 (3 Match Series)

Pakistan have come from nowhere to steal the first T20I against Australia in Dubai. Sarfaraz Ahmed won the toss and elected to bat first, a decision which confused some, as it looked like it would be a tough pitch to score quickly on. However Babar Azam would again show his class, vindicating his captains decision, leading the way with a well made 53, with Asif Ali making 33. For Australia it was Andrew Tye who was the standout, taking 3/25 from his 4. Pakistan would finish 7/167, which looked like an above par score.

And with Australia reeling early with the loss of their captain and Chris Lynn, it looked like Pakistan would stroll to victory. However D'Arcy Short and Glenn Maxwell would put on an onslaught that would see Australia hit the 100 mark in just the 11th over. Maxwell would be dismissed for 44, however D'Arcy Short would carry on. Ben McDermott would struggle massively to get the ball away, and grinded his way to a 15, while Short continued to attack from the other end. However a brilliant piece of fielding would see D'Arcy short of his ground, and Ben McDemortt would depart 2 balls later. Somehow after needing 24 from the last 4 overs, suddenly Carey and Agar were faced with scoring 11 off the last over. Ashraf would then strike twice, having Agar could at short fine leg off a short ball, and Coulter-Nile hitting a drive straight back into his hands.

Tye and Carey couldn't find the boundry in the last 4 balls, and somehow, someway Pakistan had won by 4 runs.Australia bitterly disappointed and Pakistan ecstatic as they take a 1-0 lead in the 3 match series.

1st T20I, Australian Tour of UAE 2018
Pakistan Leading 0-1 (3 Match Series)

Trailing 1-0 in the series, Aaron Finch knew he needed to get off to a good start for his side after electing to bat in the 2nd T20I. And a good start is exactly what he gave his team, as he and D'Arcy Short who was continuing on from his good form last match pounded the Pakistani attack to all parts. 79 runs off the powerplay, and a total 106 run partnership off a tick under 9 overs was the perfect start for Australia. Both fell in quick succession, and the middle order continued their assault. Maxwell with 33, Stoinis and Carey with 15 and 13 respectively, before Ben McDermott who had a match to forget with the bat last time out, looked like a completely different batsmen, smashing 38 off 14 balls unbeaten to see Austarlia to a mammoth 7/225.

Babar again would do damage early, and it looked like the mammoth score was very chasable, however Australia would again pick up wickets routinely, including a double strike from Zampa to remove Malik and Hafeez. The run rate would continue to grow, and off the last 5 overs Pakistan would require over 90 runs. Asif Ali provided some late fireworks, however it wouldn't be enough as Australia won by 20 runs. Ashton Agar was brilliant with the ball despite not picking up a wicket, bowling 17 dot balls in his spell which included a maiden.

The series is now level 1-1 as we head to the final match of the tour.

I put @wasteyouryouth newest players from the World XI in to a 90s West Indies and England team for a 6 test 7 ODI English tour of the Caribbean, first test at Kingston, Jamaica sees England 3/81 after winning the toss and electing to bat first on a hard, dry pitch. A few early wickets saw the English team rattling at 3/29 but a 52 run partnership between Butcher and Thorpe has the tourists in a decent position at lunch.

Massive shout out to the academy user Pluck I'm not sure if they're active on these forums but their bats are a 1990s retro database heaven I might finally get around to making Shane Warne Cricket 99 in this game.

The Ashes
1st Test, Day 2, Edgbaston

(Playing as Australia)

Australia wasted little time wrapping up England's first innings, dismissing them for 290 early in the morning. Jonny Bairstow, resuming on 86, fell to Josh Hazlewood without adding to his overnight score, nicking an inside edge to the keeper.

The visitors started their innings positively, with Usman Khawaja anchoring the top order with a well-crafted half-century. By the end of the second session, Australia were steady at 127-3, looking to build a solid foundation.

However, the hosts dominated the third session, claiming four crucial wickets to halt Australia's momentum. Despite the collapse, Steve Smith stood firm, remaining unbeaten on 81 at the close of play. Australia ended the day at 222-7, setting up a gripping contest for Day 3.

The Ashes
1st Test, Day 3, Edgbaston

(Playing as Australia)
Australia’s tailenders, led by Steven Smith, began the hunt for a lead. Smith was in excellent touch, crafting a superb century. However, just as Australia looked set to build a more substantial total, Ben Stokes struck, removing Smith at a crucial juncture. The tail didn’t last long, and Australia was bowled out for 257, giving England a slender 33-run lead.

England’s reply started cautiously, ending the first session at 61-2. Australia had made early breakthroughs, but the hosts were still in a relatively strong position.

Australia came back strongly in the second session. Their bowlers were relentless, claiming 5 wickets to reduce England to 144-7. The Australian attack was on top, and with Chris Woakes and Mark Wood at the crease, England was struggling to accelerate. Their lead was hovering just under 180 runs, and it looked like Australia could get the job done quickly.

1738392968375.jpeg

However, England fought back thanks to some resilient lower-order batting. Woakes, in particular, played a brilliant knock, making 50 runs and frustrating the Australian bowlers. Stuart Broad provided solid support with an unbeaten 36*. Together, they pushed England's lead past the 250-run mark, giving them a much more challenging target.

Australia now faces a challenging target of 258 to go 1-0 up in the series. It’s set to be a thrilling chase with the Australian top order needing to step up in what promises to be a dramatic finish to the first Test.

Who do you think could be the key for Australia in this chase? The final chase promises to be a dramatic finish. Who will emerge as the hero?

3rd T20I, Australian Tour of UAE 2018
Series Level 1-1 (3 Match Series)

Aaron Finch would win the toss and elect to bat in the decisive match of the series.

Again D'Arcy Short would continue on his fantastic form in the series with a well made 46, as he and Finch put on another 50 run partnership to start Australia off well. Alex Carey couldn't make the most of his promotion to 3, as he fell for 9, which triggered a collapse of 6-36, seeing Australia go from 1/66 to 7/102. Ashton Agar and Nathan Coulter-Nile would put on a 60 run partnership to ressurect the Australian innings, however 169 always felt short of par. Ashraf the pick of the bowlers with 3/28.

In reply, it was Babar Azam again who bludgeoned the Australians all around the park, with great support from Fahkar Zaman and Mohammad Hafeez, before some big hitting by Asif Ali and Shoaib Malik saw Pakistan home in just the 17th over. Adam Zampa the only one with figures of note for Australia, taking 2/27 from his 4.

Pakistan claim the series 2-1, and Australia's next task is a 3 match ODI series at home to South Africa.

3rd Test Perth - Eng lead the series 1-0
After a short break (a 3 day tour match against the PM’s XI and a busy week in work) it’s on to The WACA for the 3rd Test. Australia are looking to level the series, whereas England know that a win will mean that they retain the Urn.

Ricky Ponting won the toss and elected to bat, on what was a hard, but slightly green surface. This meant Phil Hughes would be in the action straight away, following his recall to the side and so to would Chris Tremlett, who was playing in his first Test since 2007. Stuart Broad the man to miss out following a side strain he had picked up in the 2nd Test, which is likely to rule him out for the rest of the series.

I've got multiple 90s test matches going on at the same time as I tinker with player skills and create new teams. Here's a few in game shots of some players from waste's latest creations in my West Indies v England and South Africa v Australia tests

What teams and stadiums are all these mate.. they look so good!
The South African stadium is Wanderers Stadium by wasteyouryouth I just changed the adboards to be mid 90s specific

All the players are from waste's recent retro project except for Steve Waugh who is uploaded by Stephen Bailey. The other players I used to flesh out teams I just pick the best looking ones from the academy which is usually a waste creation and then assign era specific bats (usually Puck's) and re-skill anyone that's too high. There's a user called craigiversen who makes fantastic players but he doesn't allow you to edit anything so you can't re-skill or assign bats and they all have blank bats I wish he would allow editing.

All the uniform sponsors and logos are on the academy so I just made test kits with era specific logos and created some mid 90s teams and copied the 1996 and 1999 world cup kits in there except for Zimbabwe which doesn't have a 1996 world cup kit on the academy that I can find. I have the Zimbabwe name text (along with Kenya, UAE & Holland) from DBC14 but I don't know how to upload it to C24 like a whole bunch of logos and sponsors I have from that game. R-D-B-3 (I think that's the correct spelling) made a lot of 90s teams for download I just did own so I don't end up with 10 Sachin Tendulkar's like I did in previous games.

The Lara bat is by Puck1395 (90s bats goldmine) and the Kookaburra is SalmanWahidi's bat. I can't find a mid to late 90s Bubble and the one on the academy that's close won't appear in my bats after downloading which is annoying but Salman's bat is great anyway. You can't see them but the V100 and GM the Waugh twins are using are both by Puck and boy do his GM bats look great in game.

Here's a better look at Waste's Lara, the Waugh twins bats and a Lancaster Park I downloaded from Cpt_Soggie with changed adboards

Had a strange moment tonight, I bowled a bouncer to Sanath Jayasuriya on the first ball of the match and he walked out of the crease and just stood there to get run out I haven't seen that before. I always throw the ball to the keeper and knock the stumps out so I didn't realise he was out until the third umpire came in to. Added waste's Chaminda Vaas and Eden Park in all their glory
