On Hold Scottish Cricket League - Mid-season break | Post #315

This shows that I need to play more pure bowlers and not all rounders. They won with ease there. Can't really blame the batters except Watts, expected more from the local experienced and with having no pressure on the other end as having Snyman and Rayudu, he should have been more responsible. Aiden Markram needs more chances to show the beast inside and leave no place for the bowlers to hide. My best local keeper needs to perform too, maybe letting him bat down the order might do the trick. Was expecting some good finishing touches from Cooper as well.

Just goes to show that leg spin is the best type of bowling; although my batting was a little worrying there I think, we should have chased thar down quicker...

Promotes Colin De Grandhomme. so that he smashes. Instead he went on for duck

Good Way to start of the tournament

Ah, those infernal normal pitches! They've always given me grief throughout my time in this section. Hopefully the Grange being the most historic Scottish venue and all, will provide more evenly balanced wickets when we play our next game there.

Yeah, I pretty much only ever use Excellent and Normal wickets these days - it's the easiest way to get vaguely realistic scores

'Tis time for me to ask for Round Two line-ups.

Because many of you aren't experts in Scottish cricket, I have one piece of selection advice for each of you.
PM or VM me if you would like to hear it.

Lothian v Borders at The Grange
Tayside v Central at Arbroath Road
Strathclyde v Fife at Hamilton Crescent
Islands v Grampian at Cambusdoon
Highlands v Dumfries & G. at Northern Counties

Please do not include more than three capped internationals (marked with a :c: on the index), and please do mark bowlers (:bwl:) and keepers (:wk:)

Going with a stronger pace attack this time. I'd rather Leask and Berrington not bowl, despite those impressive warm-up spells.
