He is on TM :) I told you, England guys are always lucky.. If I had pulled the same with some Indian/some nation guy, he would have been worthless in all aspects. :p

Pulled this lad yesterday, Douglas Silcott. Put more ITS on keeping than batting, and stamina didn't turn out too well for whatever reason.

Stamina: abysmal Wicket Keeping: mediocre
Batting: respectable Concentration: worthless
Bowling: feeble Consistency: worthless
Fielding: worthless

Anyway, 17 years old, listed for 0k.

EDIT: Listed when I can, I'm currently selling other players, and if they both sell I have 14 players, so it won't let me put him up.

Is anyone interested? He wouldn't take long to train up a decent stamina, good batting and keeping, IMO.

Not worth much tbh, worthless Concentration - you would be lucky to get 1k. ;)

I think I can work with this.
Code:
Lee is a RH Batsman and RH Spin Bowler.
He is a defensive player with competent leadership skills and
abysmal experience.

He currently has respectable batting form, respectable bowling form and
fresh fitness.
Plays For: Fighting Mongooses
Nationality: Australia
Age: 17 Years Old
Battrick Rating: 5,581
Wages: ?886 p/w
Stamina: feeble Wicket Keeping: worthless
Batting: mediocre Concentration: worthless
Bowling: respectable Consistency: woeful
Fielding: competent

Very similar to Sawyer, takes a bit of effort. Only problem is being a defensive spinner who aren't as effective.

Concentration and consistency is poor. You probably should have put a few/few more ITS on them.

Stamina: competent Wicket Keeping: worthless
Batting: worthless Concentration: worthless
Bowling: respectable Consistency: respectable
Fielding: worthless

What a pull, using only 1 ITS. Gunna give him a bowling net and a stamina/fielding over time.

That is extremely luck, that is probably a one in a thousand pull with only 1 ITS! He deserves a lot more than just one bowling net! Me personally, I would put at least two bowling and 1 stamina.

But I've got other bowlers who I have in the nets.

My whole team is pretty much 17 year olds.

The fact is that when you have only 35 ITS, you can't stack each of stam, batting, conc, bowling and consistency, so to get an all-rounder you either take a couple of big calculated risks with your ITS or take a lot of smaller risks and just blindly hope. When you train a player in batting and bowling, their secondary skills increase quicker, so it's an easy choice as to what you should forsake on an all-round trainee. If you're prepared to train long term, even a player with no concentration can eventually have a lot of it. For my purposes, I don't want an all-rounder who can open the innings, so it would be a waste to have too much batting skill anyway.

It's all about who is the best prospect. As primary skills get harder to train with age, one or two levels to advantage early on can amount to whole seasons of nets down the track. If you have a mediocre and a respectable and you want to create a remarkable player, the respectable will be remarkable with 2 primary nets towards the end of 19, but the mediocre will not reach it before the age of 21. Of course, there are other skills and a multi-skilled player might make for a tougher decision, but the important thing is to be aware of what a player will become. A player getting only one net will languish.

At the same time, it's important to note that when starting out, a weaker trainee, if trained well, can do his job just fine. You could sell the respectable player for a significant sum, which may be far more beneficial. The important thing is that you decide quickly which course to take, because he won't be worth so much to either you or someone else by the end of the season.
