Would he be worth putting a batting net on?

Not really, he's a low respectable, so that batting is also likely to be base feeble. Well it also depends how high you want to take his batting, if you get him upto superb or thereabouts he can probably bat at 6 in your team for quite a while.

Screw it, assuming he's a really low feeble, he'll probably be comp by the end of next season, so if you keep him on long term training by the time he's 21 he'll have at least strong batting and around quality concentration, that's not all that bad.

Wait, so was that a yes or no? He would be used as a 6 or 7, but I do have an all rounder at the moment.

That's a yes, assuming you'll have him on 1x bat, 2x bow, and 1x field, by the time he's 22, his bowling will be better than Mccormick, but his batting will be a bit lower but his secondaries will be quite a bit higher, I'm guessing around remarkable for concentration and quite possibly around exquisite/masterful for consistency.

You could always just drop the bowling nets once you're happy with that and give him an extra batting net until that's at a level you're happy with too. You just have to be patient, I'm going to do something similar with the all-rounder I'm training, his bowling will be better than Mampe by 22 but it'll take a while if I decide to get his batting to match up.

I'll put him on those nets now, but when my keeper gets to superb in stamina I'll probably chuck the 2nd bat on him.

That's what newbies do. Not bad though, could have him on a bat and bowl and have him into a handy all rounder for a newbie.
