Serious Problems - Please Help

I have a serious problem where when i turn on my computer, it takes 15 minutes to load up and if I try to do anything it will freeze, after the 15 mins it works perfectly fine. It only started hapenning after I installed some of the Cricket 2004 mods but I don't know which ones they are because I installed heaps at once and I didnt realize there was a problem till a couple of weeks later.

I have an Intel Pentium M 725 processor
(1.6GHz, 400MHz FSB, 2MB L2 Cache)
ATI mobility Radeon 9700/64mb
40 GB HDD
512 mb DDR

I really need to get this fixed as it is my school laptop

scan your pc for virus/spyware..though none should be related with mods on this forum. check which programs you have in startup.

I have done all of that, it is something to do with the registry, someones said that I need to change one of the settings somewhere but I dont know where

Downloaading stuff from here has nothing to do with tht sort of problem.It is a common problem infact it is just like flew.I have the same problem by different after a while 30 minutes or 1 hour my computer automatically with out any warnings freeze's.
