Shoaib likely to return after clearing dope test

KARACHI: Shoaib Akhtar overcame yet another hurdle on his way to a much-anticipated international return in this September's Champions Trophy on Wednesday when he cleared a dope test alongside two dozen compatriots.

A senior Pakistan Cricket Board official said that all the 25 cricketers tested for banned substances cleared the dope tests.

yea involved with drugs only once and 50 other scandals during his career and each time he was "forgiven". I really like him when he is on the field and just uprooting stumps out of the ground and hitting batsman but when he steps of the field he ruins all that.

Yes... Generally if you go to a country with deep terrorist problems then you would be scared for your safety. God doesnt it just annoy you how people put their lives before cricket . Shame these terrorists do the same but in a different fashion .

Another run-of-the-mill Westerner talking from his home in the democratic, 'can do no evil' West. Tell me, when did you last visit Pakistan? If you're not too terrified to leave your homely Western luxuries, then why don't you go have a look and realise the ignorance in your post.

People in Pakistan are getting on with their normal lives. There is no major bomb threat in the major cities. No foreign national has been targeted by bombers. Cricket teams touring Pakistan get the utmost security measures put in place for them and their well-being is seen as of paramount importance. England, South Africa, Zimbabwe and Bangladesh have all toured within the past few years with no security breach whatsoever.

Now, before you start talking about terrorists and safety, educate yourself so that you don't end up sounding so insensitive and naive.
