There is no doubt that Konami is one of the leaders in the industry of video games. If you'll look at Konami's PES and EA's FIFA games, you'll find the physics and realism of PES always better than that of FIFA series. This shows that they have some talent. Do you think they should also make cricket games? If they'll really do something like this then they may become leaders in cricket gaming too.

This is really stupid.... how can Japenese people make cricket games? Useless thread really.

Same way they made arguably the best football game - PES. :sarcasm

Yes - they're already really good with ball physics - an important part of cricket.

It may be so for PC, but on consoles FIFA is far superior.

Japanese can't make cricket games as has been mentioned. Unless it is only published by Konami and made by another developer.

But yeah, I'm not too keen.

We need to face up to the reality that it will be several years before we get a good cricket game, even if a new developer throws its hat into the ring.

They should pay the people who made MLB The Show whatever they want to make a cricket game.

... though I'd love to see it come to fruition.

See, Konami made PES because they know what football/soccer is and the rules. They just can't make a cricket game even if they had an umpire by their side telling them the rules because they just dont know what cricket is. Its like going to an Indian developer and asking him to make a baseball game.

But then Konami would be just publishing the game, not developing it. There's a big hole there.

Well they do know what cricket is. Well they can hire a Producer/Tech Lead who has some knowledge of cricket.

Also they have their European, Asian and American developing studios.

That's true. I would like Konami developers to develop the game rather than an external developer.

IMO Perfect cricket game could be made by following combination:

1)Hire guys from MLB Show to create menus/GUI/presentation/Story mode/Career etc.

2)Hire Konami guys to create the game engine from scratch...

3)Hire atleast two cricket legend. Not only to include them in some kinda story mode, but also use them in development. They would provide great insight during the engine development. When developers would run the beta engine and test the ball physics etc they would get good critic from those players who knows how the ball should react on a particular pitch.

4) Include the Konami's trademark player creation tool which they have been using in PES for so long. That would allow us to create absolutely any player accurately..

You guys are dreaming while awake....
KONAMI is and will be not interested to make a cricket game...

  • because,Every Game Dev. company first looks over the market. What market wants so that they can be highly profited...
  • They will learn the fact as to Why EA stopped making cricket games....
  • What is the need for it and most important,WHAT IS CRICKET?
