Thats a program called Konfabulator, you can download it from the internet, I have it on mine, very useful piece of software indeed!

I used yahoo widgets.. they have lot of cool widgets for ur desktop n it doesnt takes much memory.. also used vista transformation pack .. it even allows transparency

Make the green a bit darker and try light blue or white or something. Im not really a colour scheme expert, but hey.
