I am almost done with development. I need 5 volunteers to try and identify bugs within commentary, scoring, stats, game rules and super over not tested, couldn't get one till date. I'll share website link by Wednesday evening pacific daytime, with login details. Appreciate if i can get 5 volunteers by that time. I'll choose first come first basis.

i'm always happy to help!

@Manish. Initial feedback and future feature request.

- I like the 6 different UI themes. Very Cool.
- If there's not going to be an email confirmation requirement. I suggest you shift to Username in signups rather than emails. Or at least add username option for login.
- Can an import team option be added. Where it takes .csv file with team and player names and fill the data for you? (Allowing you to make teams on an excel sheet at your comfort).
- I made an account. When I clicked save team it logged me out and I can't login anymore. (❌ Invalid email or password.)

EDIT:
- If you press save and your team has less than 15 players. It will erase all the field data for players and tell you (❌ You must enter between 15 and 18 players). But it's a massive inconvenient because you lose your written data.

I don't see any new signups in the database. May i know which browser you are using ? You are using on mobile ?

Edit - Try again, now.

Couldn't find the login related issue anywhere. Cleared all old logins. This should be a fresh start. I have more detailed logs to debug this lime.

Everyone, try registering again.

How do you select 11 before starting a match?

Cant seem to drag drop names and tapping or double tap doesn't do anything as well.

Checked the checboxes as well (which was only visible for some players only)

Using chrome browser on mobile.

Unfortunately no. Everything is updated based on email. Difficult to revert back, as teams, matches archive and stats dashboard (not yet live) as searched and shown based on email.

Not csv. But there is a work around. I'll try to onboard it, by next weekend. Idea is, you can simply ask chatgpt or ai to generate a team and given output in a desired format. Simply load that.

Something I didn't consider. I'll try to get this asap.

Long press on the player for a second and drag him to the top, playing 11.

Checkboxes are for players who are bowlers. On marking them, that player will bowl in the match. To start a match, a min of 5 bowlers with checkboxes marked are required.

Due to the continuous issues related to credentials and other file related storages, Putting the game on a website for free has turned out to be a real headache. The free websites I can use would delete all your saved teams and other data every 5 mins!

Since having a paid server for this passion project isn't feasible, I'm just going to give the game directly to you to run on your own computer just like other simulators. This way, everything you create is saved safely on your own PC.

I need your help picking how you’d prefer to get it. Please vote in the poll!
Of course, dude. Here’s a simple, non-tech message you can post on the Planet Cricket forum.

Title: [POLL] Help Me Decide! How Should You Get the SimCricketX Game?

Hey everyone,

I've got some good news and a quick question about my cricket simulator, SimCricketX.

Putting the game on a website for free has turned out to be a real headache. The free websites I can use would delete all your saved teams and players every single day! I don't want you guys to lose all your hard work creating the perfect squad.

Since I can't afford a fancy paid website for this free project, I'm just going to give the game directly to you to run on your own Windows computer. This way, everything you create is saved safely on your own PC.

I need your help picking how you’d prefer to get it. Please vote in the poll!

What's your choice?

  • OPTION 1: The All-in-One (Easy but HUGE download)This is one big download (around 800 MB and 4 GB disk space). You just unzip the folder and click "start." No setup needed, everything is inside.
  • OPTION 2: Python Installation This is a much smaller download. You'd just have to install python and dependencies. Can continue to use simulator as it is.
