Hmm, you guys are lucky. I've only ever seen snow once (besides tv) and you guys get it outside your front doorstep every winter!

Well we generally get quite a bit of snow where I live as I am just outside of the city and am quite high up, and I have a feeling that this winter might be a white one.

I didn't get the day off but I think we'll have a white xmas, it's only November and it's already snowing! the good point about no snow is gt to play football for the school today at 11 after my test which means I get to come home early anyway

That, is not true. Yes, the "twelfth" day of christmas was/is 6 january, but that's why snow was depicted on cards?

I as far as I know, snow-scenes are popular on christmas cards because there was a particularly bad winter around the time the christmas cards first started to appear.
Do we really need to go into a debate about the history of the christmas card? Well it almost always snows every winter here (Nottz, England) and trust me its really fun. I know I'm going to hate snow once I start driving etc but enjoy it while you're young. Snowball fights are amazing. Its not funny when people cover stones in snow (a guy at my skwl almost lost his eye to them snowstones) but apart from those idoits its really enjoyable. It usually snows when we get back to skwl (early January). I'm 14 (15 in Feb) and so snow is the best at this age. When you're <10 its all about snowmen but when you hit the teens its all about snow wars.
