Eh?

If you ate an infected Chicken with the Influenze H5N1 virus it wouldn't matter whether it was cooked properly or not.

Actually, rumours has it that well-cooking kills the virus. But its only a rumour - it seems scientists are too busy to take a contaminated chicken and cook it and test it for the virus...

I am just preparing 2!!!! chicken kiev's for myself. I didn't have any lunch so I think I deserve them. I may also have some ice cream.

Well it's only been said as the reason why you shouldn't eat red Chicken is due to Salmonella (iirc, might be the other one). Very different type of virus.

Had Beef Casserole last night, little bit chewy meat though unfortunately.

Onions, Mushrooms and Dumplings in the Casserole (with gravy obviously), and Carrots, Brocolli and Mash as side veg.

I would like to remove the misconceptions. Here are the facts:
"Preparing poultry
No human cases of bird flu have been linked to eating poultry, although in at least one instance, the H5N1 virus was found in a package of frozen duck. Because heat destroys avian viruses, WHO officials don't consider cooked poultry a health threat. Even so, it's best to take precautions when handling and preparing poultry, which is often contaminated with salmonella or other harmful bacteria.
Wash well. Carefully wash cutting boards, utensils and all surfaces that have come into contact with raw poultry in hot, soapy water. Wash your hands thoroughly before and after handling poultry and dry them with a disposable towel.
Cook thoroughly. Cook chicken until the juices run clear and it reaches an internal temperature of 180 F. Avoid eating raw or undercooked eggs or any products containing them, including mayonnaise, hollandaise sauce and homemade ice cream."

Can we get off the topic of bird flu? I had grilled chicken for dinner last night :( I don't care what some overpayed scientist says
