I always like this time of year, a few months out from the Ashes and suddenly England are on fire. They talk themselves up saying how in form they are etc and then we slaughter them. Its fun :D

Face it England, you've beaten no-one even mildly challenging and you are no hope of winning the Ashes.

I always love reading objective posts from Aussies. It's their humble attitude when it comes to winning that I'm most fond of. Also the way that they never go on about their victories too much or moan and blame everything in sight when they lose.

Agreed... Australia may have the best team ever, but they leave a lot to be desired for when it comes to humility. Steve Waugh is on record saying stuff about "mental disintegration" and sledging has pretty much been patented by the Aussies. They try to play it down by saying "its all on the field, they are just playing hard" etc etc, but I still dont see why they cant play hard and be gentlemen at the same time. Remember Mcgrath in Sarwan's face?? (or was that Chanderpaul?) Even the Aussies were ashamed of that picture. Looks like Gilchrist and Ponting may be attempting some kind of change in attitude, but I say they have a lot to make up for.

Their attitude apart, sorry to say England still doesnt have a chance. And I am an impartial cricket follower (in matches where Pakistan is not involved)so dont start blaming me! :rtfl They are playing well but who have they beaten in that run of 11 out of 12 victories? WI, NZ and South Africa? Yes very tough teams all of them... NOT!

I'm aussie and I agree with you in this one the Australian side is without a doubt the best team in the world just about unbeatable. but you know what?? I personally hate most of the Australian players there arrogant and up themselves look at warne I would love to see england kick aust's ass in the ashes.

I watch the game to watch individual players I know people will say its wrong for me to say this but me and my father support the side who plays Australia.

what got me was there loss in India they complained about a docked wick well.. umm are they trying to tell me when country's play here they don't dock the WACA ground to suit there own bowling or the SCG too suit warne?

but going back to topic yes this always happens.

England they say are good this time watch out for them then the ashes come. they get beat 5 0 or 4 1 normally england win the last test.

now an example 2 years ago ppl were saying england has improved out of side nussir hussain wins the toss elects to bowl first at the GABBA Simon Jones does a injury hes gone for months and Australia pile on about 600 runs england never recovered,

other problem england have is there wickets suit australian bowlers

oh I has a friend once who knew Hayden he said he is the worse sledger you could ever have he stance behind the wicket in the slips yelling out "Come on give us a catch you useless batter"

It's hard living in Australia and putting up with all the biased crap they go on with here

I disagree in part

For the good of the game australia need to throw the ashes and let england win so that people won't start comparing tests to open book ones. Or Ferrari wOn the least competitive form of sport until Australia started making the ICC look like a bunch of d##kheads for promoting bunnies like England I mean Bangledesh to test status. I mean that's a whole new topic the "special" Bangledesh squad of hopeless batsmen, "expensive" bowlers and the worst test record in recorded history they should be playing the Netherlands not India. There enough said. :p

England will be able to win the ashes.... they have alreay beaten australia in the champions trophy and they have an amazing test record this year..... there are going to be some tight matches.

The Champions Trophy means nothing. The West Indies beat England in the Champions Trophy and also in the Natwest games but lost 7-0 in the tests.

well ya that is true but then also if we look at records then england has 11 wins out of 12 test matches and they have good ODI records this year too.... well i conclued saying that the ashes is going to be a very competetive series. :cheer

Yeah it will definetely be competitive, but Australia will come out on top.Maybe in the ashes after that...............
