Right, an interesting topic, Hansie Croje. A great Captain, the best captain, maybe even better then Kapplir Wessels, although disgraced through cheating. (Australians still love Warne, disgraced thru cheating he was just delt a lesser punishment then Cronje, also through drugs??) This is a real soft spot in South Africa, let me tell you that. I agree with Andrew here in saying Gibbs, Donald & Rhodes should not have dedicated the WC to him. Then Gibbs went so far to say they lacked leadership and have you what halfway thru the tournement. This was then retaliated by Kirsten saying Pollock was the best thing to happen to the Proteas and we should fully back him. This was not a winning formula;a team on speparate notes. They ended up missing the Super 6's. More so because of rain, then a miss calculation. The nuber of runs required changes every ball, Boucher did not know the game was to stop after that ball and not be resumed. South African Selectors have made a stand by intruducing almost an entire new starting 11 with a new captain. So far they have done ok, i dont think they are even with the Indian's at all, i hope this new squad will be shortly! I am keeping my fingers crossed that with time they will once again become the best or hopefully close to the Austrailans!!
