1. General Match Conditions

General T20 rules , except the following differences (Please copy the existing T20 Match type and create a New Custom SA Pro20 version with the differences underneath :
  • Bar reviews: 2 per Innings , (please edit the default 0)
  • 2 Bouncers per over (default is 1) . These are the one`s called by the umpire as such (higher than the shoulder)
  • 3 fielders outside the circle after the Power Play , (default is 5)
  • Keep BARS on Umpires Call
  • Any Rope Length
  • A Maximum of 5 fielders allowed on either side of the wicket at any time when bowling
  • If Scores are tied , a Super Over will be used to determine the Winner , please remember to enable this when you set up your Custom Match Type
2. No "Normalise Skills" allowed , (meaning don`t check it in the match creation screen)

3.Never accept the Forfeit request sent automatically in game , we play our games in full. This is sent automatically by the game once 30 seconds time limit per over is up for setting your field. Please remember to disable this feature when setting up the Game to stop this Popup from appearing

4. Any Custom team composition are allowed , with the only guidelines being the following :
  • Batting Rating not higher than 85
  • Bowling Rating not higher than 90
  • Fielding Rating not higher than 95
To achieve the above requirements , please go and edit your team that will be participating in the league in the Academy until it fits the specs. This is done on an individual basis whereby lowering or upping the Skills and Attributes of a Fast Bowler will change the " Fast Bowling rating" of the team .

If any of the ratings are still over the limits set , then go back and repeat the exercise on the individuals that you know is still rated too high, until the shield rating falls inside the above limits.

5. Home team will create the match using the custom match option with the Custom Pro20 match type at Veteran difficulty , and can choose any conditions including the venue they want, there is no requirement to select the random conditions but this option can be selected if the home team prefers. The choice of Pitch Type and Condition is the Home Teams personal choice . Disable the Online Timer when creating the match. (Just remember to edit and save a Custom Pro20 Match type in the Academy beforehand)

6. If any glitches/bugs are encountered , we will have to live with it , as cricket was never intended as a perfect game. However if a match is very laggy and glitchy and both teams agree to restart then that is between the two team managers. The restart must take place well before the game is complete , preferably before the start off the 10th Over of the 1st Innings.

7. The Run Out Glitch Bug (Where the Batsman takes ages to accept the cancel run command and acts as if stuck in mud.) is the only one that warrants some action on the affected parties side. When Batting and you lose a wicket in this way , please keep you PS button pressed for 2 seconds. This will bring up a PS Menu , where the Top Option should be selected to "Close Application" effectively Quitting from the Game. The Side that was bowling will then have to Save the Match , and send the Saved Game Invite again to the Opponent , eliminating the Bug , as the Game will save the Ball before the Glitch Happened. The Only drawback to this is that the Pre-Set Fields for the accepting party will not be available , and clothing and logos will be buggered up. But with the Online Timer disabled , the Manual setting of fields isnt a big deal. Use the "Ring Field" one as a start point, and set it up and apply to all.

8.Usual power play fielding restrictions apply for first 6 overs (Only 2 fielders outside the circle) , and then a maximum of 3 fielders outside the ring after the power play overs.(T20 Default is 5) Please remember to go and edit your default T20 settings , I normally save the custom Match Types with the Competitions Name to distinguish them from the default ones. You are not allowed to have more than 5 fielders on either side of the wicket at any time.

9. The fielders that`s set up in the Slips , does not count towards the 5 either side restriction . This is however "Normal" behind the batsman Slip fielders , meaning any 7th/8th/9th Slip, Silly Mid on etc. Variations are treated as Normal fielders and counts towards the 5 a side limit.

10. Short Cover and Short Mid Wicket are not allowed as Fielding Positions, due to their Superhuman abilities.

11. There is no other restrictions on how a field can be set other than this , so no one should complain about unorthodox field settings. Please go and create your own custom fields in the academy , to also speed up the constant re-setting of your field placements after bowling changes. Press the Up button on the D-Pad to get to the Options screen , scroll down to the batsman facing and press the Triangle Button , and the Up on the D-pad again on the next fielding screen to quickly get to your preset fields. Alternatively , just press the Touchpad to bring up the Field Setting Menu .

12. Upon Match Completion , please take a Screenshot (with your Phone) of the Summary and Detailed Scorecards and Post it in the Whatsapp group , as I need it for the Logs and Bonus Point Calculations as well as doing some Stats . The winning manager does this , meaning if I don`t receive his winning scorecard , I will handle the match as a No-Result and share points. I have allowed for 1 week for the Managers to complete their 1 match as per the fixture list. Meaning each Saturday the new round will start. All scorecards needs to be received by me before the new round starts .

13. No advance matches with other managers will be allowed to be posted on the Whatsapp group , meaning I will only accept the "official" scheduled matches scorecards of that week. This however does not mean that you cannot play your future scheduled match earlier , I will just not accept the scorecard until the appropriate time. So DON`T send me the Future Round`s scorecards earlier , I will just bin it. DO send them in at the right time. Please bear in mind we are playing alot of matches per week , so I don`t want to be flooded with random scorecards that doesnt match the weeks "official" matches.

14. If no connection between two players can be established after various try outs in the allotted week , points will be shared , hence a No-Result will be recorded. Both players need to notify me of this.

15. In the event that one of the parties cannot fulfill their fixture with the opposition , the available Party will be awarded 6 points. It is the responsibility of the Available manager , to inform and explain to me of the oppositions NO-Show in the alloted Week. I will use the 3 x strikes method , ie when an opponent has cancelled a match within the last 1,5 hours before scheduled start for 3 x times , this is enough justification to award the match to the available party. I will use my own discretion doing this , but my judgement will be final. If no notification is received in the allotted week , a No result will be awarded to both sides , resulting in shared points.

16. The use of a Microphone for communicating critical stuff between the players in a dedicated Party chat is compulsory to participate in the League. This will avoid alot of ill-feelings and misconceptions between players.

17. There will be the following restrictions imposed on the actual bowlers used to bowl the 20 Overs .

Option A

  • Fast / Fast Medium (Pace): Maximum of 12 Overs
  • Medium Bowler (Pace) : Maximum of 4 Overs
  • Spin Bowlers : Minimum of 8 Overs
Option B

  • Spin Bowlers : Maximum of 12 Overs
  • Medium Bowler (Pace) : Maximum of 4 Overs
  • Fast / Fast Medium (Pace): Minimum of 4 Overs , Maximum of 8 Overs

Please note that an equal split of 3 Overs each of the above Groupings will need to be bowled in the Power Play up front . ie 3 Overs Pace / 3 Overs Spin

If the above Quota`s are not followed , the guilty party loses 2 League points , regardless of the outcome of the match . It is up to the opposing player to resolve this with the guilty party or report this if he is still refusing to bowl the correct bowlers . I suggest that a message on the party Chat must be sent as soon as the batting side realises the mistake. If he agrees , he will then change his bowling the next over and bowl one over of Spin/Pace extra overall to make up for the lost over. This will mean he will end up with a 13/7 Split eitherway , depending on which type bowler he "Over Bowled" in the Power play

If a side is bowled out before the 15th Over , none of the above restrictions will apply , because the player could have still then bowled his above quota if he was allowed to , except for the upfront Power play requirements (50/50)

The above is intended to try and get more balanced sides , and to try and get everyone`s all round abilities tested .

In the case of a tied position in the final top 4 list , the total runs made by the managers against each other will be used as the final measurement to determine a winner .

After the League Phase the Knockout Matches will be played as follows :

Semi Finals :

    • Semifinal No. 1 : Position 1 Group A (Home) vs Position 2 Group B (Away)
    • Semifinal No. 2 : Position 1 Group B (Home) vs Position 2 Group A (Away)
League Final :

  • Home and away to be determined by a Dummy Coin Toss in a 5 Over Match Setup between the two Winners of Semifinals. Winner of the Coin Toss Plays Home. This is to happen right before the actual match commences

    • Winner SemiFinal No. 1 vs Winner SemiFinal No. 2
In case of a Tie , winner will be determined by way of a Super Over , (please remember to check this option when creating the match)

Hi Ali

Sorry , my League is just for South African Based Players , because of the Lag involved in playing foreign based players.

Week 6 Results out.

Final Round of the Regular Tournament left with some interesting scenarios :

Group A
A fight for a Semi Final Spot between Attie and Kevin , the match winner goes through
A fight for a next season Premier League spot between Bartec and Mario , winner goes through.

Group B
The much anticipated big showdown between the two unbeaten players , Gustav and Larnes finally goes down to determine the Group Winner
Ivan is fighting to stay in the next season Premier League group , with the possibility that Derick slips past him if he loses and Derick wins his match with a Bonus Point.

Week 7 Results

Group A

Attie pipped Kevin , and goes through to the Semi`s
Mario put in a Dominating performance against Bartec , securing himself a Spot in next seasons Premier League.

Group B

Larnes and Gustav had a thriller of a pitch , and Larnes in the end scraped through by bowling Gustav out for his lowest score of the competition.
Ivan blew Jeremy away for a paltry 42 runs , there is big speculations of Match fixing and as such the match are under investigation.
Derick put in his most dominating performance in downing Dirk , scoring a Huge 165/5 , and keeping Dirk to below 150 .

But alas it was not good enough , and he misses out on the Premier League by way of his inferior Net Run Rate.

Talk about hard luck....

Onto the Semi`s with Dylan hosting Gustav , and in the Other Semi the Group B king (Larnes) hosts Attie.

Thanks to all that participated in the first season of Ashes , lessons were learned by all and will be used in the next season.

It was a Blast !!

The two Semi Finals have been played , and both had very low scoring games , courtesy of the extra Pressure and Big Ants new nick-off approach :P

In the First Match , Dylan were going all guns blazing as usual and were at a massive 91/3 after aproximately 9 Overs , when Ross flicked the switch , and all hell broke loose.

Fast forward 2 overs later , all out for 104 , with the Keeper bagging the bulk of the catches (5)

Gustav proceeded to chase the modest target more sensibly , and reached it in the 14th over with only 4 wickets down .

In the second match , Larnes put Attie in to bat first on a tricky Soft Greentop.

Attie struggled and had to every now and then take chances with a Big Shot to try and keep the scoreboard ticking. Nicks were luckily not going to the right places.

At 16 Overs , Attie still had 6 wickets in hand , and proceeded to try and accelerate the score , but it only resulted in catches in the deep.

Eventually when the Overs were up , the score was set at 125/9

Larnes came in to bat , and were immediately under pressure with the first over going for a Wicket Maiden , and the second over going for 1 run and another wicket.

Things stabilised slightly thereafter , but then in the 6th Over Ross flicked the switch again and all hell broke lose and next thing Larnes was 25/6

After this phase , Johnny Bairstow and AB de Villiers steadied the ship with a Brilliant 50 run partnership from 52 Balls.

With 49 runs to go , AB then nicked off to slips , and then it was all up to Bairstow to try and keep up to the rising run rate.

He was eventually the last man out , Clean bowled by a brilliant yorker from Broad , the Ducks all out for 103 in 18.3 Overs.

Onto the Final , with Gustav facing Attie.
