ok the button bowling method.
Left stick picks delivery
RT/R2 for 4 more delivery variations
Press a button to choose your length, yorker-full-good-short
Now the Line screen and timing windows appear.
You can L stick offside to the left standard no input or up and leg side holding the stick to the right
You then press a button for normal fast or slow timing, after pressing the button you can still hold the Left stick to influence landing spot then you get yet another timing window for delivery timing normal fast or slow
In practice I can do some wicked things with the ball. Chucking it offstump and having it bite and cut back across, select out swing, choose good length, hold L stick to the left at 9 and nail your foot plant timing, now roll the stick from 9 to 11 while hitting your release timing.
Beautiful.
Now my problem is I take this same feeling into a match and the ball does not behave at all the same way, it tracks far straighter and bounces higher making it much easier to bash.
So lets discuss what you do on the L stick?
Method wise;
Do you hold it far left or right during the bowl and rotate it back towards the stump?
Do you not use it at all?
Do you hold it more around 11 for off and 1 for leg and then spin it to 12?
Any reason to wind it down to 7 or 5 or hold it at 6?
A problem I am having since the latest 2 patches is the game counting my first timing press as 2 presses meaning my delivery is way early since it sets the marker as soon as that display screen pops up. This is an issue on PS4. Not sure if it happens on xbox.
