Some players seem to have their statistics updated after playing a competition but for other plays it doesn’t update. Can anyone explain this?

I can’t give a full answer because it’s gonna be a long time before I finish my competition but...

Stats are updating during my competition. I remember in DBC14 they only updated after the competition. I guess I’ll find out once I’ve completed the competition, absolutely gone to the very end and started a new one.

Will the old one need deleting or to apply stats or will that just delete all those acquired stats?

I’m only referring to onscreen stats then hopefully the player’s stats in the player bit, not user stats that are just covering everything the person playing the game does as one career like stats bit.

Mate just make sure you have the latest patch installed. My stats get tracked no matter the game mode.

If i just play 1 match out of the 5 in a competition, my stats get updated in the academy without waiting for the competition to end.

If i start another match (not completing the previous competition wholly) with the same teams, then the stats reflect the new match in the academy. However in the competition, it still displays the previous stats since the competition was saved prior to me stating the new match.

When the competition match is finished, the academy updates it to show the new stats overall which includes the new match i have played as well as the competition one i just finished

Are you finding the stats get doubled?

Let’s say you played 1 game and took 2 wickets, in the academy I’m seeing 2 games and 4 wickets.

Avgs etc all correct, but the base numbers always doubled

I am not a 100 percent sure but i think what is happening is that you are playing more matches than you think you are.

For example if you complete 1 ODI and then start another, bowl two overs back out and start another match with the same team, bowl an over again, then in the stats it will mention 3 games played and how ever many wickets you have taken or overs you have bowled.

In short, the game doesn't update the stats once a match gets completed, it does it every over i think.

Like i said i am not a 100 percent sure. What you are saying may very well be true. I'll keep an eye on this and get back to you if i find out anything regarding this.

Nah it's just doubled. e.g. This is after the 1st test I played with the barbarians. I hadn't played any other "test" match types with them (whether completed or not). In the first test Rice batted once and scored 16. He's down as having had 2 matches, 2 inns and scored 32.

Okay i checked my stats. As far as i know all stats are being calculated correctly irrespective of format and no stat is being counted as double.

That being said, i didn't use custom made teams. I only played Aus and Eng. So can you play a test match between these teams and confirm that stats are being calculated correctly for you?

It might be a bug only in user created teams.

Interesting! Ok cheers I will try that

Stats are not perfect for sure. User Stats are broken so I'm not surprised that incorrect stats are showing up here and there.

I'm just curious; how are they broken?

Check out my posts in Bug Reporting thread. Stats is simply not Big Ant's cup of tea. Since DBC 14 they've yet to get stats working accurately across all the modes.

Guess I'll keep a more stern eye on my stats from now on. Hopefully in the current state, most of the stats issues are resolved.

Nevertheless thank you for hunting down these posts in the bug thread. Much appreciated.

Btw sri lanka beat england today

Yeah, this was happening to me when I did a World Cup playthrough. The stats page was right but when it showed the stats when the player was coming on to bowl/bat it would show them as doubled.
