Blame the pirates, not the developer for this situation...
I'd rather have a PC version with restrictions and possible downtime than a nonexistent one.
Video games like this are not made out of the kindness of the developers hearts, they are investments on which they are trying to make a return, supporting people's livelihoods... Obviously if DRM is in place it is in an attempt to protect that investment in some way; to begrudge this and say "gah, should be on GOG... greedy stupid devs!" is very selfish and entitled.
If the DRM is cracked to the point that only paying customers are inconvenienced whilst pirates can play offline whenever they want... By all means complain because in that situation it's dumb. Right now though, this DRM is the sole reason we even have this game on PC; if it is cracked and the game ends up pirated, cricket gaming on PC is dead... Doesn't look like anybody else is getting involved any time soon.
