Stupid cricket 2005

Cricket 2005 should go down as the most poorly finnished off game I've ever
played. yes it's true. I was'nt sure if I should have put this thread in the bug listings discussions, but given the profound stupidy of certain aspects of this game I felt it Necessary to give it its own thread.

1.Firstly the inability to host a foreign tour!! For example: If I want to play a South African tour our an ashes tour in England, It is impossible to play with the host nation - So stupid

2.Secondly, the manual clearly states that players records will be stored after matches, except if you "play now" or fail to save your profile after a tournament, Well guess what? it doesnt. sure, once you've completed the match and look at your stats they have changed but once you exit the game and run it, stats revert back to default settings & yes I have saved my profile & it doesnt work - stupid little bug which could have been fixed easily.

The list goes on, the form meter used in tournaments has not been implemented corrtectly as it only shows form according to the teams batting line up. this means that if you swap kallis with Ntini the menu will show Ntini having great form and Kallis poor form. Again a small irritating bug that could have been fixed easily.
Bowlers bowling more than 10 overs in a ODI or limited overs matches. This occurs when saving a match during a bowlers spell. This is a totally unacceptable flaw that occurs when a game has been rushed and not beta tested correctly poor,poor,poor.

However, though these bugs are incredibly irratating. Cricket 2005 is a very enjoyable. lets just hope that EA sports release some sort of patch(which they probably won't) to rectify a few of these bugs.

All you'd effectively be doing is playing a test or one day series as there'd be no tour games, what's the point?

Um YOUR records are recorded, not the players stats though. But your created player stats will build up if you save your PROFILE and ROSTER. Also I have never had the bug where a bowler bowls more than his 10 overs in a ODI, and I have played and saved alot.

Also the tours are always about the visiting team, if you want to play as England in the Ashes do Ashes tour of Australia.

I am yet to check up on the Form Bug.

I still don't understand why EA would update players statistics after a tour. only to eraze them apon exiting the game? even though you have saved your profie. whats the point?

The tour thing p***es me off because I want to play as South Africa Against another team in South Africa. Cricket 2004 let the player at least choose before staring a match, even though you wouldnt get a trophy at the end of the tour. this is such a fundemental aspect to me, I dont care that tours are always about the visiting team, I want to play with my country on home soil...Easy

The overs bug does occur, I had Chaminda Vaas bowiling 15 overs at me during an ODI.
Again these are not huge bugs but they get on my nerves because I've gone and bought this game against my better judgement hoping not to be kicked in the teeth and I have.....again

I'm sure we can fix the first problem with a bit of .sav editing. The formats are very simular to C2k4.

well my only thing with the tour is that I would like to play as the tour teams because it will be jus like real life, where u put in players froom the national team into teams like Board Pres 11 and see how they do and then pick the squad for the test.

Maybe EA might some how allow this feature of allowing the user to host the touring nation and play for the domestic teams. I mean in England it prolly wudnt be possible to jus throw players into a team, but in india and other asian nations they make teams specifically to see if the players will perform and then send them to the national team if they do.

I'd also like to play the host nation on tour and play with the domestic teams. However, EA then needs to do some work creating domestic teams for nations other than Australia and England. South Africa, for instance, has six domestic franchises: why not put all of them in the game? Yes there are other teams, but when it comes to strength-versus-strength in South Africa the six teams are it. Can't EA just put the six teams in there and work on domestic teams from other nations then allow playing host teams on tour?
