Ashes Players Announce Charity Event
Eight Ashes players have today announced a charity event which will consist of five "Super Over" matches. Each team only has four players in their squads, so if anyone is injured the teams are in trouble. The normal Super Over rules shall apply with the added restriction that only four players can be outside the ring. Australia squad: David Warner, Cameron White*, Andrew Symonds, Peter Siddle. England Squad: Kevin Pietersen, Andrew Flintoff, Graham Napier, Graeme Swann*. It is hoped that around ?25,000 will be raised for charity. Each player and each umpire will be able to donate the money to a charity of their choice.

The winning team will earn themselves a small miniature Ashes Urn each, and the player of the tournament an inscribed cricket ball. Play ball!

Why does everything have to be a league? This is clearly a story, not a league!

Super Over story is something I haven't seen before. Not sure how you're going to present this, it could easily go wrong but could be excellent if it's done right.

Expecting some huge scores with only two fielders! There ought to be a few fives!
Not sure how on earth you are going to do this but that is what will make me quite interested in this. Good luck!

There will be nine fielders (only because I can't restrict the fielders). It should be pretty good, though.

Further Competition Details Announced
The big cheese behind the Super Over Ashes tournament hasa today released the final details required before the tournament can finally get underway. There are to be seven fixtures, in which every player must bat at least twice (look out for Peter Siddle) and bowl at least once (sorry, David Warner). This raised allegations that the regulations are designed to benifit the England side. "This is simply not true," Graeme Swann said today in a press conference, "It is a completely fabricated rumour". Swann then moved on to the sales prices of pink Ferraris. The tournament is designed to be a non-profit scheme run purely for charity, which is refreshing in the present post-Modi climate.

Interesting theme mate! Let's see where you go from here!:):thumbs
