[Team Thread] The Brawny Bandits - Season 2010

After a decent performance today and a century by out captain and super half century by Shan, Bandits will be taking on the Wizards in a friendly @ The Castle on Saturday @ 11:30 GMT. We hope that the standout performers can keep the flow going and for other soldiers to make this opportunity count as we get closer to the start of the season and team finalizing!! Great win for us guys! I followed the batting, and till the sharks were 2 wickets down. Good bowling performance as well.

It was a bad collapse towards the end, and we still did not get our opening position to fire as they should!! Chan played a brilliant, aggressive knock and the middle gave great support. Am concern about the none bowlers going for so many overs and some many runs!!
Am going to try and get a couple more games if I can for us to experiment. Nice win and we need to keep it up!!

WI and Themer, I would suggest playing fewer all-rounders. Maybe we should change alteast two all-rounders to pure batsmen.

Already been taken care of. We've had a big overhaul of non active player types; all the allrounders. And we've adjusted skills of those who aren't particularly active so that the team is overall balanced.

The new list has been sent to Kshitiz who is forwarding it to Sohum. The changes will be implemented come the start of the season.

Cool. Hopefully now the bowlers will be bowling, and the batsmen batting, not the other way round :laugh

We'll we've got rid of all the batting all rounders for starters as they seem to be pretty awful bowling and there batting in all the friendlies and the preseason tournament hasn't been as good as the pure batsmen.

I think we've kept two or three pure all rounders which is all we really need for the season ahead. One thats been specifically designed to do well in the Twenty20s, one for the ODs and one for FC matches. As after looking at how the all rounders did in pretty much every match you're alot better have players who are specifically designed for their positions aka pure batsmen and pure bowlers.
