South Africa Edge Past England In Opener
Today South Africa defeated England in the opener of the vodafone cup because of some splendid batting by Captain Greame Smith and Pacer Morne Morkel.
Today surprisingly there was a green pitch presented by The SCG Curator .
The English Skipper Kevin Pietersen won the toss and choose to bat .
But his openers coudnt do much work as they were put within 2 overs due to Dale Steyn"s great spell and a run out of Alistair Cook.
Then Captain Pietersen and Mascrenhas had Partnership of 27 before Maschrenas was removed by Botha.
Till the 8 over mark England were going at run rate of 7 per over But Morkel"s over in which he took 2 wicket dented England"s Chances and they were restricted to a total of 61-5
Then the south africans came to bat and they blazed away in the first 5 overs scoring 45 runsi in them.Then Graham Napier"s 2 maiden overs dented their chances but they held their nerve and won the Match

Would of liked a little bit more writing about the innings but it's a good start to the tournament. England were easily beaten even though the Saffers took a while to get to their score. A great start to the 10 over dynamite series.

Zaheer Folowed his bowling partner to get Mr Cricket caught of Gambhir.
Micheal Clarke Retaliated with 2 fours 1 of zaheer and Irfan But Pathan Got Him Cleaned up with a slower one.that restricted them to 18-5 Then Came Harbhajan But he was hammered by Haddin and Symonds For 20 which gave some repectability to their total.
