The 2nd ICC 2006 OD VB Series: Draft fixtures released...

I first organised a Knockout ICC 2006 Tournament, but that turned out to be a disaster because managing so many teams was hard, with people having time constraints. This time, I am proposing a Triseries in the same format as the VB series, as 3 teams are not hard to manage.

If you would like to Sign Up, you must agree to these rules:

- ONLY play if you know you won't drop out

- You MUST be able to play on either Saturday OR Sunday at a given time, the time depending on the location of your opponent

- Both players MUST play the game at the time officially, and BOTH must send screenshots of the scorecard to my email address ([email protected]), otherwise the match will not be valid

- Please provide the amount of overs for both innings, otherwise Net Run Rate can't be calculated

EDIT: BTW, there will be many more editions, so don't sweat if you did not manage to sign up the 1st time round.

Note: The winner of the 1st edition will continue into the next one, with two new challengers, and this will continue for every new winner

Ok, good, we have 3 players, and all from the UK, making times easy to organise. Now, I would just like you all to confirm that you have read and accepted ALL the rules in that 1st post.

Note: I'll say this now, the earlier, the better. When you post the screenshot of the scorecards, please send the detailed scorecard so that I can look at the number of overs to determine Net Run Rate and Bonus Points.

VB Series Tournament Rules (Please read) (Based on actual rules)

* Points System

* Win, with bonus point - 5
* Win, without bonus point - 4
* Tie or No Result - 2
* Loss - 0

* Each team plays each opponent 4 times, a total of 8 games. The top 2 will play a best of 3 match series, with 2 games only played if the winner is decided in those 2 games.

* The team that achieves a run rate of 1.25 times that of the opposition shall be awarded one bonus point. A team?s run rate will be calculated by reference to the runs scored in an innings divided by the number of overs faced.

* In the event of teams finishing on equal points, the right to play in the final will be determined as follows:

* The team with the most number of wins
* If still equal, the team with the most number of wins over the other team(s) who are equal on points and have the same number of wins
* If still equal, the team with the highest number of bonus points
* If still equal, the team with the highest net run rate* (NRR explained)

*in a match declared as no result, run rate is not applicable

I will soon post up the Points Table and Fixtures. The first match will begin next weekend.
