Canterbury won the toss in the morning and put PC XI™ to bat in pace bowler friendly conditions. Thier decision was found to be correct when PC XI™ openers walked out cheaply which was followed by two more wickets reducing the tourist to 47/4. Thereafter Captain Surendar who was playing at no.6 took the responsibility on his shoulders and made a gritty 80 odd runs. He was helpled in his efforts by Tarzan and World Champions. PC XI™ were finally bundeled out for 217. In reply Canterbury have reached 81/2 at the end of day 1. They have three more batsman to come as they are playing with 5 bowlers considering the batting depth of PC XI™. Canterbury trail by 136 runs as they enter day 2.

very good performance frm the PC XI A Team very well crafted innings by Andy and Ager they batted sensibly played superbly.

i am happy that I scored 40 runs with a goood strike rate of 80%
