ODI SERIES

PC XI VS NewZealand

PREVIEW

After loosing the Test as well as 20-20 Series it will be quite a uphill task for PC XI squad to regroup and redeem thier confidence to get into shape for another challenge ahead. The players now head for last leg of thier tour after being defeat all out in thier campaign
The series will be a huge test for the players since this is thier first grinding assignment which is testing not only thier skills but stamina and mental toughness. There have been some players who have exceled out and made a impression to the world arena and today we focus on some players who we feel can make a difference.

PC XI

Batsmen:

Tarzan:Blessed with some awesome talent , born in India he is the new VC of the ODi side. This young right handed batsmen has exceled in the test series and is first to register 500 runs for his club. He has been compared to the likes of rahul dravid and sachin tendulkar already with his talen in batting and mental toughness. He will be the one to look out for the opposition if they have to make some early inroads.
Tarzan comes in at No.3 as stabilises the innigs as well as has a good eye for stealing singles which makes him a perfect player for the highly coveted No.3 role.

Bowling:

Treva:

With conditions in New zealand suiting pace bowling , the Vice captain of tests is the perfect player to expliot the condition and help his team to early advanbtage. He has been outstanding in every form of the game and is a asset PC XI.He has asked question to every basmen and every level he has played.Compared with the like of James anderson, he is a very lively charachter and is equally determined and focussed on field.

Batting:

Scott styris

Northern Districts allrounder Scott Styris is a rather stereotypical New Zealand selection, but has became an integral part of the team - a fact highlighted by an outstanding 2007 World Cup.Originally a seamer, a knee injury forced him to take his batting more seriously, and he switched from being a bowler who can bat into being a batsman who occasionally bowls. He was awarded his Test cap on the eve of the Karachi Test in May 2002, only for it to be taken back when the match was cancelled as a result of a bomb blast. When he finally got the chance he scored a century and a half-century on debut against West Indies. On the same tour of the Caribbean he broke the New Zealand record for one-day bowling with 6 for 25 in Trinidad.

Bowling:

Shane Bond:A breath of fresh air since his introduction to Test cricket on the Australian tour of 2001-02, Shane Bond has given New Zealand a rare fast-bowling option. He is among the fastest bowlers in the world, and with his arrival the potency of the attack has increased. The quickest New Zealander to reach 50 one-day international wickets, including a national best of 6 for 22 against Australia in the 2003 World Cup, his potential is only limited by his susceptibility to injury, having suffered crippling stress-fractures in his feet and back.

That was a really nice preview. I am sure it would've been hard to write the stuff for the PlanetCricket players without actually seeing them play in the game. This should be an even one day series.

The series will be a hard and chalenging one for us with us playing against Shane Bond, Daniel Vettori, Stephen Fleming etc.

great preview AModh.... i think the PC XI boys r ready for the challenge and they can do well in the ODI series.....
In the bowling department we should be carefull with the part time Bowler ( Craig Macmillan).. He has done well against us in the test series.............

Well if banning is cheap thenspamming is cheapest. You have a complete match to comment on...and if you only comment like "Great Innings" Well done", All the best" it does not add up as quality posts. Instead a more detalied and quality post would be beter to read and comment upon. Refer the last few posts.

Why does a post need to be detailed to be quality?

Great preview mate, really put a lot of work into that. Well done.

HP did I'm pretty sure. The kits are also fantastic as well made by my friend Aamir.

This is very wonderful & encourageable Preview from Mr Amodh. He give this with very good words & I love it. I am happy with my performance but my team lost, it is hard to feel. Treva is also in good form. We have four talented openers & this is very good thing for PC XI.

One morething I want to tell that every player of CCPC is talented but they need to draw it out. Amodh u r also a fine All-Round Leggy Spinner.

We are ready to win this ODI series sothat we take some proud after this tour.:p

Shakti and Treva are indeed the best players of PC XI!
If they can carry on their form and other players support them well, we can definitely win the ODIs. But the Kiwis have never been a nut easily cracked especially when they are at home. We have no margin for error here, as we know it very well from our Test and 20-20 series experiences. Lets all of us play as a team and give it our best shot!

Great preview- It will be a hard series but as long as tarzan is playing awesome(like he always is) and treva is bowling amazing (like he always his) we have a great chance of winning the series

Good display of batting by the team!
Congrats to Briggy on his half-century. Well played buddy.
Suren and KX were unlucky to miss their fifties.
10 players reached 2-digits. I hope this score is defendable.

But the best thing of this innings has been that our batsman played Bond very well, and left him wicketless!!!

@ Amodh : When will u post NZ's inning???

Once again we failed to play full quota of 50 Overs... there were 19 Balls left that means the total of 300 was on...

good display of batting by Briggy, surren, and KX... Now it's bowlers who have to do the rest of thing .....

Briggsey and Suren did well. Now PC XI have to bowl well. You can win this guys.
