Hello Everyone. I'm your host Aamir. The warmest welcome to you to the inaugural match of season 3. Twenty20 at its best. We have got these two solid looking teams in the form of Royal Ramblers and Counter Warriors. The weather is just perfect for cricket. Clear sky and the sun is out. We are looking forward to a good game here.
The pitch is hard. It should have even bounce and good carry through. Pace bowlers will get some good bounce but the ball will come on to the bat nicely. Hope we see a good run fest here.
The two captains are ready for the toss. World Champions calls for it but gets it wrong. Viral had no hesistation in choosing to bat first. If Royal Ramblers can post a good score, they can get the upper hand in the match.
The Royal Rambler openers are out on the crease. They are looking pretty confident. Karachi Xpress and Ansariaamir_leo have opened a lot together. Both seemed to be in attacking mood. Karachi Xpress and Ansariaamir_leo smashed the Counter Warrior bowlers all over the park. The bowlers had no clue whatsoever how to stop the destruction. Karachi Xpress and Ansariaamir_leo added quick 79 runs for the opening wicket and provided just the start that was needed. They were goin good until iloveireland came into the attack. Karachi Xpress went for the big one but miss timed it and Ashwin made no mistake to catch that one. Karachi Xpress departed for 28 off 30 balls. Shubhrayu couldn't last long as iloveireland struck again. But at the other end Ansariaamir_leo played sensibly and continued to attack. The captain Viral couldn't last long either. Ansariaamir_leo completed his half century. Things were going good but he in the process of attacking he too lost his wicket. A good inning came to an end. Ansariaamir_leo scored 62 runs off 40 balls. Giggity and Cricketplayer55 continued the attack and took the score to 165 with the loss of 4 wickets. iloveireland got 2 wickets whereas Khalek and Bilal91 got 1 wicket each. The players are off the field for the break between innings. When we come back we will see if Counter Warriors can chase down the target of 166 runs.
Welcome back. The Counter Warrior openers are ready. They have a tough job ahead. The openers need to put up a solid partnership in order to provide their team a good start and that too at a good pace. Left Hander and Ashwin started sensibly. They added 52 for the first wicket. Bowling change did the trick for Royal Ramblers. Xuzuno was introduced into the attack and he provided the breakthrough. Left Hander was the first to go. He was struggling a bit with his batting and his 23 off 34 clearly shows that. Tarzan came in and added some quick runs. In just 16 balls he went on to score 33 runs. But was dismissed by Cricketplayer55. Soon Xuzuno struck again and this time it was Ashwin to depart. A big blow to the Counter Warriors. Ashwin scored a brilliant 45 off just 36 balls. Cricketplayer55 struck again. He dismissed the new batsman 6xAfridi who scored just 12 runs. Paulnixon1 batted superbly. Counter Warriors managed 150 runs in 19 overs.
It was all down to the last over. 16 runs required to win off the last 6 balls. Its Scionsid to bowl the last over for the Royal Ramblers. The Counter Warrior batsmen were under tremendous pressure and in the end they succumbed under the pressure. Scionsid kept his nerves and bowled in the right channels. The Counter Warrior batsmen could only manage 8 runs off the last over.
Royals Ramblers won the match by 7 runs. A comprehensive victory for the Royal Ramblers. They batted aggresively, bowled to the right line and length and in the end they out played the Counter Warriors.
For his explosive 62 off 41 balls, Ansariaamir_leo was awarded the "Man of the Match" award.
