Hello Everybody and the warmest welcome to you. I'm your host Aamir and I welcome you to Kandy, Sri Lanka for this 2nd ODI betwen Royal Ramblers and Counter Warriors. The waether is a lot humid out there. It'll be tough day for the players out there. the pitch is dusty. It'll assist the spinners throughout and the seam bowlers will have odd bounce throughout the game. Its a pitch to win the toss, bat first and get runs on the board. Anything above 200-220 can be defendable.
The two captains are at the centre for the toss. Viral calls for it and gets it right. Without any doubt he elected to bat first. Even he indicated the trouble that the batsmen will be facing in the 2nd innings and if they can get anything above 200, they should be able to defend it easily.
The Royal Ramblers opened with ansariaamir_leo and Karachi Xpress. As said in the pitch report, the seamers were getting some uneven bounce and both the Royal Ramblers opener seemed to be in trouble. They both were happy in defending so that they get an idea of the bounce at the wicket. A bit unusual start by them than their normal game as they both love to go on with it. Playing ti cautously they added 69 runs for the opening wicket. They were going at a slow rate and decided to pick the pace. In the search of some big shots, ansariaamir_leo lost his wicket to World_Champions. Viral came in and hit 2 glourious boundaries and seemed to be in rhythm but couldn't last longer. He too fell at the hands of World Champions. Royal Ramblers were 98/2 and in desperate need of a good partnership. The new batsman Giggity provided what was needed. Together with Karachi Xpress, they put on 50 runs for the 3rd wicket. Karachi Xpress scoring a well made half century. Finally the partnership was broken by iloveireland. Karachi Xpress was dismissed for 78 runs. A brilliant innings under the conditions given. Giggity and Ursonly11 continued batting sensibly. Giggity smashed the Counter Warriors all around the park and reached his fifty at a quick pace. Brilliant effort by him. He decided to go harder at the Counter Warriors and succeeded to some extent until he was caught in the deep by Highlander999 off the bowling of Nailclaw. A good innings of 62 runs comes to an end. After his dismissal Ursonly11 and Shubhrayu played till the end and managed to take the score to 224/4. As expected the socre is good enough. it'll be ineteresting to see if the Royal Ramblers can defend this target...
The Counter Warriors openers are ready and so is the Royal Ramblers. With the target set to chase, the Counter Warriors knew it was never gonna be easy and they needed a solid start from their openers. With the experience of Ashwin and Tarzan, the Counter Warriors weren't disappointed. The seamers were still getting odd bounces and the ball was turning a bit but the Counter Warriors openers played it sensibly. They kept on rotating the strike and hit the odd bad balls for boundaries. Ashwin reached his fifty and was looking dnagerous. The first breakthrough was provided by Vaibhav when he dismissed the dangerous looking Ashwin for 82 runs. A brilliant innings came to an end. The Counter Warriors openers added 132 runs for the opening wicket and had provided a solid platform for the target to be chased down. But thebatsmen to come in next were finding it difficult to time the ball. Vaibhav struck again dismissing Cricketman for 13 and then Ledzep was dismissed by some brilliant fielding by the Royal Ramblers. The Counter Warriors were 157/3. Tarzan at one end held his ground and played cautiously. He too got to his fifty. His joy didn't last long as Covvy dismissed him for 52. The Counter Warriors were struggling at 174/4 with two new batsmen at the crease. Highlander999 and World Champions seemed to have got into some sort of momentum but the joy ended with the fall of World Champion's wicket. The Counter Warriors just couldn't keep upto the asking rate and in their 50 overs could just manage 196 runs.
Victory for the Royal Ramblers and I say a must needed. it'll definitely boost up their confidence. They batted well, kept the ball in the right areas and fielded brilliantly and in the end a comfortable victory for them.
For his brilliant contribution with the bat, Karachi Xpress was awarded the Man of the Match award.

Disappointed with the slow batting but had to play long because the pitch wasn't well to bat specially in second innings. Match was snatched after 35th over. When RR applied their defensive attitude.
