I can't be I think the first ball you bowl to me would be sent out of the ground and Maddy my message to you for your safety Pad up while bowling against me
Hello Everyone and Welcome to Barbados, West Indies for this 3rd ODI between Royal Ramblers and Counter Warriors. the series is tied at 1-1 so lets see which team wins here and gains advantage. The weather is warm, typical Carribean as you can say. The pitch is green and should assist the bowlers throughout the game. On a pitch like this, I'll just might edge in favour of batting first.
The Counter Warriors captain won the toss and elected to Bat first. It'll be interesting to see what score is good for this track. World Champions did mention that anything above 220 must be a good score but they are aiming at a score of something around 250 so that they are in a strong position.
Ashwin and Paulnixon1 opened the innings for Counter Warriors. The bounce off the pitch was even but the ball was swinging in air and off the pitch aswell and the bestmen were finding it a bit difficult to time the ball. Both the Counter Warriors openers were cautious and took their time to settle themselves in and provided a good opening partnership to their team. They added 77 runs for the opening partnership in which Paulnixon1 scored the bulk of the runs. He was playing well on 45 when he miss judged the spin by Vickyrox and he was clean bowled. Finally a breakthrough for Royal Ramblers. Ashwin continued playing well and reached his half century. His joy didn't last long as Covvy's outswinger kissed his bat and landed safely in the gloves of Karachi Xpress. Ashwin was dismissed for 50 runs. Tarzan and Ledzep seemed to be getting in momentum when a mixup took place and ledzep lost his wicket. Wildwil had just entered and Tarzan lost his wicket. After the brilliant opening partnership, none of the partnership seemed to be working for the Counter Warriors and they lost wickets at regular intervals. At the end of 50 overs, Counter Warriors managed 233 for the loss of 7 wickets. On a track like this, the target of 234 can definitely be challenging.
The target is challenging enough on this track and the Royal Ramblers openers need to give a solid start. Ansariaamir_leo and karachi Xpress started off watchfully. They kept their patience and first tried to play themselves in rather than slogging at the ball. Once they were aware of the bounce it was easy for them to rotate the strike and punish the odd balls for boundaries. Ansariaamir_leo was the bulk scorer in this partnership as he made 43 runs in the partnership of 76 but was unlucky to miss out half century. He was cleverly bowled by Khalek. Royal Ramblers were 76/1. Karachi Xpress seemed to be gaining momentum with Giggity at other end and another partnership seemed to be growing. Karachi Xpress went on to score his haf century. But couldn't go on to make it big as he was dismissed by Mad Snake. The Counter Warriors struck again in the very next over dismissing Giggity. Royal Ramblers were struggling at 116/3. The Counter Warriors bowlers kept it tight and the Royal Ramblers didn't seem to be getting into it. Apart from a 20 from Shubhrayu and 37 by Ursonly11 they couldn't score big and in the end fell short of the target. In their allotted 50 overs, Royal Ramblers could only manage 200 for the loss of 7 wickets.
Counter Warriors won the match by 33 runs and lead the series 2-1.
For his all round performance, Khalek was named Man of the Match. He scored 28 runs and took 3 wickets.
Thats all I have for the moment. tune in again on 9th August for the 4th ODI of this series. Till then I'm your host Aamir saying Good bye and Good Night.
