The FM Elimination Challenge (June 2026)

This will be a non-participation based challenge, so it is more of an experiment, but it will be interesting and there will be a winner.

You have the chance to create your own footballer, and send them out into the big world. How will they fare - will they join lower league clubs in England, or instead flourish in the top leagues of Spain, Italy or Germany? It will be based on an elimination system, and the person with the lowest amount of points at the end of each year will be eliminated.

The competition will run so that at the end of every 12 months, players will be ranked on how many points they earned. The person with the least amount of points at the end of 12 months will be eliminated from the competition. Points will be gained from playing league matches, or playing international matches, as well as various other factors such as the quality of club they play for, how much they are transferred for, and so on. Each player will have the chance to become a star, but unless they are nurtured properly it will never happen... so, does your player have what it takes to be the true FM Champion?

Is Swedish fine since they are EU but not one of the top nations like Spain, England, Germany and Italy etc.

Fairly sure everybody was Hedger, we had unrealistic attributes and we all scored about 2-3 a game. You were slightly on top, though.

Also, everybody's nationality needs to be EU National now, I've found out, or otherwise it will limit the clubs you can go to - I ran an experiment with Australian players, and they didn't sign for any European clubs at all - a few went to Adelaide United, Sydney FC, and Wellington, but none went to any European, so I'm figuring it must be an issue with work permits. So, for now, could everybody who has a non-EU nationality change theirs? This only really applies to Nakul.. and Matt.

Urgh, I said is it fine because they are not one of the top EU nations but they are a reasonable EU nation. I know they're a damn EU nation.
