The Game is too slow

Hi all,
I have recently got the game and it runs very slowly. I have enough time to go for a cup of coffee and come back after bowler runs in and delivers the ball. My systems specs are as follows:-
PIII 500 MHz
Nvdia TNT pro/64 32 MB
Creative 128 PCI sound card
256 MB RAM
4.6 GB of Free hard disk space.
Direct X 9.0b

The problem is only when i start the game and the game is pretty fast when browse through the menu's. I also have checked my devices and they all seem to be running fine. My video card also has the latest driver installed.
It really puzzles me. The 2002 version worked fine and i was looking forward to playing the 2004 version.

B) ur specs are fine , but u need more Ram

try to avoid running any other programs in the background when ur playing c2k4 .

i have this problem when i play c2k4 on PII but on P4 it woks just fine ,

download the latest direct x 9.0c

and u have P3 that is little slow , u should turn off video screens and play with less resolution , this will give u good performance ,even if these things dont help

then download ixspeed it will speed up ur game :P

dude i dont want 2 discourage u but the only thing thats new in the specs are the direct X.....and even that is old by a few months...u need a serious upgrade on ur pc -_-
