Dropped Greg Hay because a 33-ball 14 isn't going to cut it on a flat deck. Really wanna play Shai Hope since the man literally averages 88-something as an opener in ODIs. I know dropping Ryan ten Doeschate isn't the smartest idea but he just doesn't fit right in this team composition, and since we're sitting at the second position we can afford to take a risk in this game which might not be the case in coming games. An elongated tail but that shouldn't be a worry if our top-order performs (which they have no reason not to).

:nzf: :local: :bat: Brad Schmulian wasn't added

List A average of 40 with a strike rate for 104

really missed him in the previous rounds

The big-bearded hard-hitter of the Thunder, Anton Devcich once again played a wonderful innings, as he made 90 off 85 deliveries with 7 boundaries and 5 maximums. He was supported aptly by Anaru Kitchen's 68. At the top, Jonny Bairstow played a great innings of 72.

For Hamilton, Trent Boult bowled wonderfully, conceding just 36 runs on this monstrous track. The SteelHawks won't be too worried about anything, except the fact that Brett Randell suffered a minor strain while trying to bowl the last over, which made Brad Schmulian complete the last over.

Well, Thunder couldn't have done anything, since the GOAT, AB de Villiers had now come back in form. He steers Hamilton to an easy chase with an unbeaten 98 off 88 deliveries. Shai Hope and Brad Schmulian also scored their respective fifties.

For the Thunder, Jofra Archer and Jacob Duffy bowled really well, but weren't able to pick regular wickets. Anton Devcich went for plenty which caused them to lose this match.

ABdV!!! Much, much needed win to instill confidence in some of our big players who weren't having the best time in this tournament. Shai Hope's inclusion worked fabulously, and so did Brad Schmulian's. Really glad ABdV took the mantle of responsibility and got us home with a match-winning knock. Pat Cummins however, continues to disappoint.
