There is a hotel owned by Osama's family here in Dubai...named after him...

they also used to sponsor F1.

Who is this Masharaf

Osama's family is one oil rich family in Saudi Arabia,
The family is worth 4 billion dollars, now that is alot of money.

Also vaghun I failed to see how it will not do any harm to England If they dont tour Pakistan. The England Team is on a winning roll at the moment and it will only do them better if they tour pakistan,Two good teams two very good teams it will be interesting to see who will win, very had to predict.

lets make it all clear if england not play in karachi than pakistan should also not play any test in lords.

He is PRIME MINISTER of PAKISTAN.

If that happens (both ways) then the terrorists are getting what they want which shouldn't happen.

He is the President of Pakistan, Shaukat Aziz is the Prime Minister of Pakistan.

Going back on topic, I actually supported England's decision not to play in Karachi but was shocked when Australia played in London right after the blasts. Now I believe it would be incredibly unfair of the English team not to play a test in Pakistan's biggest city, Karachi.

On top of all this, ECB now want to be able to make last minute changes in venues during the tour. This will screw everybody up, the organizers, the broadcasters, and most of all, the paying public. At this point, as much as I'd love to see the two teams go at it, I think PCB should just cancel the tour.

If Pakistan cancel the tour, they will lose a lot of money. England on the other hand will either play some team that is free at that time or take a long break.

the president of india was trying to talk to him.

I must correct you
Dr Abdul Kalam is the president of India not Dr Manmohan Singh who is the prime minister.

Another example of racism in cricket?

Good points by some people in this thread, and encouraging to see that most people would want to see England play at Karachi. As Wasim Akram said in his interview on CricInfo, if Australia was playing in Pakistan when those bombs exploded they would have been outta there within hours, so why have they decided to stick around in England??

And also, since no one mentioned this earlier... Bangladesh's magnificent win against Australia... why did no one say that Australia must have thrown the match because of bookies? Why is it that things like that only seem to come up when Pakistan and India are playing? Pakistan lost to Bangladesh in the World cup and we had to have a government enquiry because tongues started wagging and everyone in the world assumed automatically that the game was fixed. I didn't hear a peep out of anyone about match fixing when Australia was beaten by Bangladesh.

Racism is so rampant in cricket.

It's not racism, it's common sense. The terrorist rings main bases are in pakistan/Afghanistan.

Anyway it's going ahead now.

Not in Karachi though. And we have not had any bombing in which 50+ people died in quite a while. And Pakistan is different from Afghanistan.

Plus you did not say anything about the second example of racism I offered. Is that common sense too that Australia would never take bribes while automatically assuming that Pakistan team would?

Nope. I don't think either team would, a few years ago though things might have been different. Although it's happened everywhere.

If i was an England cricketer it wouldn't bother me if we played in Karachi. Although safety has to be an issue.

I am happy to read that, apart from Pakistani fans, also the Indians are backing up of playing Karachi. And as all people know, actually India should have the main concern about the safety in Karachi, and not only Karachi in whole Pakistan actually. Luckily everything went right the previous time.
And I seriously hope that the Pakistani fans are not getting provoked, by the actions the Indians did to Pakistani cricketplayers in Pakistan. And I mean about the incidents like stone throwing by one crazy fan and throwing garbage in the last Test. It won't do any good to the reputation the Pakistani fans have build. And I didn't like it either that Indians audience booed their own captain just because they draw or lost the game.

Some Englishmen are agreeing to tour ahead and some not. If they don't tour Pakistan I probably think Pakistan won't tour England. And that won't do any good to England, because in England there are a lot of Pakistani fans; cancelling that would mean a lot of loss of commercial activities, like getting for pay-per-view, and tickets selling. And yes, that loss would be greater then in Pakistan, because in Pakistan there are none or less Englishmen living.

And Pakistan should also consider if they really want to play in Lord's (you know cause of the threat :laugh) or possibly playing at the Oval (also in London), where recently a bomb exploded 200 meter from that stadium.

Personally I want to go ahead with this tour. Whether they play one Test match or one ODI and want to end all this presumptions.

The Security in London is much stronger. PLus i don't think Pakistan team would be a target for the suicide bombers.

The matches must go ahead.
