1st Final

Welcome one and all to yet another preview show !!!

A beautiful stunning day here at the MCG and we are set for a good days cricket. The first day of any test is usually very exciting and it shows as yet again its a full house at the 'G'.


So the teams that battled it out for ODI trophy meet again for the Test Shield but will we have the same result? Before we go on, here are the team lineups for this all important 1st Final.

Form Guide - D,W,L,W

Going in favourites purely because of home ground advantage. The MCG is a good ground for them and with the atmosphere around the colosseum NZ could find it hard to field on the boundaries .

Key Players

Giggity Giggity

Been demoted to seven in recent times where he has found form, him and Watson have saved the aussies numerous times after batting collapses. Been promoted to no.5 will he play the same way as he did at no.7?


Khuram

Awesome quickie, he has ripped through opposition attacks on numerous occasions, so far he hasn't had a great season until the last game where he picked up 8 wickets, he'll look to take early wickets again and rip through the kiwis.



Team New Zealand

Form Guide - D,L,W,W

Coming off two wins in a row, the kiwis have alot of momentum going through into this match. They will have to concentrate hard and ignore comments made to them by the crowd.

Key Players

Daniel Vettori

Excellent player, was in the runs and the wickets througout this season and he usually to stabilizes the innings if in trouble or picks up crucial wickets at the right times.

Mihir/RDF

A good opening pair they would have to put up big scores for the big occasion, none of them can convert a 30-40 to a big score like 80-100, NZ needs their openers to fire and bat for long periods of time.




Both teams look evenly balanced on paper but who'll come out on top. While we wait for the play to start, we'll take a short break.
