Here is my new (written) story about Rugby. I will be playing it on EA Rugby 06 and I shall play as plenty of different teams.

The 2006 Year shall consist of:

- The Six Nations
- The Summer Tours (ie. Wales in Argentina)
- The Tri Nations
- The Autumn Internationals
- Smaller Nations Trophy (some of the teams not in top 10, ie. Spain, Fiji.)

The World Cup Year in 2007 shall consist of:

- The Six Nations
- The Tri Nations
- World Cup Warm-up Matches
- The Rugby World Cup

There shall be text reports of each match. There will occasionally be coaches and players views.
After every major tournament, I shall put up how the world rankings have changed.
Fixtures after 2007 shall appear when I get to that period of time.
At the end of each season (April/July), I shall provide a domestic round-up which will be completely made up.

HOW THE WORLD RANKING SYSTEM WORKS
- Every team starts the game with a rating number, this shall be their starting world ranking number.
- Each time a team wins at home, they gain one point. Each time they draw at home, they gain no points. Each time they lose at home, they lose two points!
- Each time a team wins away, they gain two points. Each time they draw away, they gain one point. Each time they lose away, they lose one point.
- It is impossible for a world ranking above 125. (at the moment)

Join me again soon for some Six Nations 06 action! - Can reigning champions Wales keep hold of the title, or will one of the other 5 teams bring a different perspective to Northern Hemisphere rugby.

HENSON STARTS ENGLAND MATCH BANTER:

Gavin Henson has spoken early into the morning of the Wales V England match about the possibility of a second Welsh grandslam in two years. He says that the team is playing well and they expect nothing other than an easy victory against longtime enemies, the English.
Since the Welsh grandslam last year, Wales have managed to beat Australia and are looking good to do well in the 2007 Rugby World Cup in France.
It is exactly the opposite for England, who, although beating the Aussies also, have not had such a good run in international rugby recently.

PUNDIT PREDICTIONS:
Johnathon Davies: Eng 24 - 28 Wal
Jeremy Guscott: Eng 30 - 19 Wal
Keith Wood: Eng 0 - 21 Wal
Scottish Guy: Eng 40 - 50 Wal

England V Wales:

ENGLAND 35 - 38 WALES
HALF TIME = 28 - 21

England took early control of a thrilling match with early tries, one a penalty try when the Welsh collapsed the maul just 5m from their own tryline! Johnny Wilkinson (i can't understand why he's on the game!) converted both tries easily.
Then Wales hit back with a try of their own as it looked like they were coming back into the match. Luscombe ran down the pitch and just crossed the line as he was being tackled. Stephen Jones converted.
Just as everyone thought that Wales were going to draw level and go ahead, the English pulled out a surpirse and pulled off two tries in three minutes from Corry and Lewsey to create a 21 point lead and make it look like the Welsh were out of the game.
Little did the English know that the Welsh dragon was yet to unleash itself, and with just a few minutes to go to half time, the Welsh struck back with two tries of their own from Henson and Shanklin, both tidly converted by Jones. HALF TIME came with Wales just 7 points behind a good England team. What would the second half bring?
The answer to that was a close but tense thriller as Wales scored in the 60th and 70th minutes to take a solid 7 point lead. However, England soon pulled that deficit back with a try, converted, of their own. This left the match hanging in the balance with only a few minutes to go.
Wales were in the English half when an English forward tackles a Welsh back to the ground. The referee blows his whistle - he awards the Welsh a penalty just 31 metres out for a high tackle. Jones has a kick at goal, it sails between the posts to give Wales a 3 point lead with 3 minutes remaining. They held on, just and kicked the ball out of play in the 80th minute to record a historic win against the English AWAY!:happy
Rhys Williams.

ENGLAND 35 - 38 WALES

Tries: England: Robinson (14); Penalty (16); Corry (29); Lewsey (31); Cueto (72)
Wales: Luscombe (20); Henson (34); Shanklin (39; 59); S.Williams (70)

Conversions: England: Wilkinson x5 (14; 16; 29; 32; 73)
Wales: S. Jones x5 (21; 34; 39; 60; 70)

Penalties: England: n/a
Wales: S. Jones (76)
