Darn!!!! I didn't pace my innings well enough! Was going great when I started to change tactics and didn't stick my head back in once the quickies came on!

Yeah, personally I thought you were slow during the field restriction overs and in my opinion you didn't take enough risk against the spinner. I knew the lag was heavy so Malinga and Vaas could take upto 6-7 wickets as long as the run rate dictated that you score some runs against both. I felt that was your downfall. You bowled well, especially with Powell and Roach.

Mmm, I thought that i just needed to get through the quickies with a few more wickets but the lag made it near impossible to play any decent shot against them, either attack or defence. You are right about the first few overs though and I need to be more oppertunistic there: ah well, well played again and good luck in the finals!

Well played Jara! Nice to know I am still crap at batting! Bowling goes well and I am starting to be able to contain the heavy slogging, but batting is a nightmare! Even good hits go for catches and I don't know where to hit the ball if someone plays a custom field that really restricts me. To be honest I still have a love/hate relationship with this game.

Playing in a tournament is fun but I just feel the actual amount of cricketing skill involved is nearly nil: the margin between a good ball and a bad ball, a good shot and a bad shot is so narrow that it becomes a question of repeating the same action over and over again.

You also are compelled to set fields that are more akin to baseball than cricket to try and contain people from slogging all the time.

Don't get me wrong, I don't want to be a sore loser. I don't mind losing whatsoever and I see that you guys have become very skilled at what you do within the constraints of this game and I am not knocking that at all.

Time for a lie down and a bacon butty!!!
