Thirteen players to watch - Peter Roebuck

.....

As an Australian writer he's more likely to have knowledge of the Australian Domestic System, more so than others. Notice how de didn't pick Australian international players such as Siddle or Hughes?

For other countries, why would he pick domestic players he hasn't seen a lot of? Pujara has done more in the TTPL than he has in real life.

Pujara's done a lot more then the two young guys he picked tbh.

Exactly. Talk about Pujara's achievements the day Phil Hughes actually does something! :sarcasm

Phil Hughes scored two test centuries against South Africa. In South Africa. On Debut. At barely above 20 years old.

I'd say that's accomplishing a fair bit.

It is a boring list, yes, while having Marsh and Smith there was a bit strange. No Shakib is odd, but he does have a decent reason. Bangladesh and Zim don't play alot, who's to say Shakib is more talented than say Tamim or Raquibul Hasan or Mahmadullah on the basis of a few games? It'll take more time to figure that out.

Performing in the Indian domestic system hardly matches scoring two hundreds in your second game against one of the best attacks ever on a pitch that was seaming big.

And then, the world's best batting line up comes out and scores less than 130.

So yeah, I think Hughes has done more than Pujara.

How many youngsters currently have a record of three triple hundreds?
If I'm right only one of those was FC? And I'm guessing the result was a draw?

Ok, you're embarrassing me Gazza, Hughes has never scored a triple-ton. While Hughes has more talent, Pujara has shown what he can do. Your logic is also bullshit, just because he's Australian, he hasn't seen Pujara? I've seen Pujara, he's mint.

:doh

How was that my logic? And you're an idiot if you're getting embarrassed.

Is it just me or is Steve Smith a bit over rated? He averages something like 70 (with the ball) in first class cricket and his captain seldom bowls him in the domestic T20's.
He is very much. That's what comes about being a yound, blonde leg spinner these days. And also being a New South Welshman.

Because.

Ok, because of that smilie you win. I'm just lolling too hard. :laugh

And here I thought he was a good journalist! How did this dude even land a job!

Was he later cleared?
