To much international cricket is ruining the game

Well your saying that International teams should play less cricket, I’m saying that if they play less then we should watch more of A teams? Because It’s hard not to watch a International match within 3 months (pakistan)..

Already much has been discussed in one thread about India touring too much about international calender. What is need for this thread?

England play more cricket per year than any other country. Therefore, they can't be 'in the middle' of the amount played.

The players seem to want to play less for just as much money. I don't reckon it's ruining anything. If the Australians get tired, I'm here.

1. There is other teams that exist apart from India mate, get your head out the clouds.
2. If you read properly this isn't anything about players getting tired because they tour too much. Im saying that because there too much international cricket its decreasing the popularity of the game and the popularity of the domestic scene to an extent where less people are attratcted to the game. Just have a look at the recent Test Series crowds. And it's also not helping the minnow nations develop becuase they play less cricket and can't develop the skills required to compete effectively with the top teams. This all comes down to money: the top teams like India and Australia play so much cricket because it is so profitable for the ICC and the country's respective boards (tv rights, sponsership) Zimbabwe and Bangladesh don't because they would lose money from playing so much cricket- hence they are not developing and the gap between the top and bottom teams grows bigger every day.

Screw the ICC. It all about greed and money.

why are you so aggressive towards ICC? I mean everybody is to blame for then..

Errrr, there will still be cricket- the international players will play represent their states more often, and youd be able to see them live more often.

State cricket is played in the Australian Summer when Australia play cricket and its there choice to play in England.

Exactly. All they care about is money. Which is why the World Cup was so poor. Its why they charged the West Indian people an entire monthly wage just to get in the ground. Its ****ing criminal. Its also why there is so much international cricket. And why the minnow teams are getting nowhere because there is no international body providing them infrastructure, exposure and support.

People ask what happened to the famous West Indian culture at the World Cup. The answer is that the competition was brutalised and commercialised so much that they couldnt express their culture even if they could afford to get into the ground. Money hungry, thieving, greedy *******s.

The rich are getting richer and the poor are getting poorer.

What??? An International sport is run like a business? The half-decades's biggest event in that sport is expensive to get tickets to? The poor teams aren't developed properly in a sport that has no salary cap and expensive specialty stadia? The best teams are dominating due, once again to decades more entrenched infrastructure, and once again, the lack of a salary cap?

NOOOOOOOOOOOOO... SAY IT'S NOT SO!!!!

I must be jaded from living in a country with baseball...:help
