Dodd schmodd :p I'll find someone better than him oneday ;)

Kelly will lose the fitness net next season, lose a bowling net (leaving him on 2) so he'll be on a fielding and keeping just to get his secondaries as high as possible by the end of next season.

He's not mine so he doesn't count 100% but he's still better than Dodd, who sadly is 10 times better than my spinner, but I couldn't care less, how many South African teams have world class spinners? :p

I wish I had him though, he's about as close to a spin bowling version of Samuel that I've seen anywhere, at least my chap has 2 years on Dlomo ;) It would be awesome though, Samuel opening and Dlomo in the middle overs!

How long does it take for your guys to reach a good standard. I have set tons of training sessions, but no movement at all. The highest level I have is proficent but that is because I bought that guy. From there on it is all mediocre and competent. How do I improve?

I have a Samuel, nearly Exquisite ;)

Basically you have to wait, each skill pops at a different speed according to nets, this 'popping' time also increases with each so younger trainees are better. As a new team I wouldn't reccomend buying just yet, but try to sell or fire all players less than woeful a few feebles will be good for FC games.

It takes many weeks, generally between 7 and 14 for a pop. It's actually more predictable than it sounds, but that is a general, nonspecific view.

A 17 year old trainee with just a primary (bat or bowl) and a fielding net will pop in his primary once in 11 weeks, his fielding in about 6-7 weeks, while the relevant secondary (eg bowling/consistency batting/concentration) will pop in 7-8 weeks and the other secondary will still move in about 15 weeks.

Being able to give him an extra net is of course handy, but the important aspect is time and patience. To become international standard, a player needs to be trained for more than 3 seasons. It's not necessarily wrong to stop training a player before then; they get quite expensive to keep; but to get to even a rudimentary level of "good" requires plenty of weeks of training.

Put simply though, if you have 5 players training in primary/fielding or batting/keeping (fielding and bowling not being much use to the keeper), you've got those four numbers running in their respective cycles five times over, so you can expect at least one of your players to pop in most weeks.
