Brisbane Braves Farewell Kyle Mills

Kyle Mills has been forced out of the Braves squad

The Brisbane Braves have farewelled Kyle Mills after he had an excellent season with them, which saw them almost take out the second APL trophy. Kyle Mills was one of the best bowlers of the side with 24 wickets at an excellent average of 27 throughout the tournament. He bowled 135 overs in 14 matches, and was only bettered by Dale Steyn throughout the season. His ability to chip in with the bat was also handy coming in as a late lower-order player.

Kyle Mills has been forced out of the squad due to the new clubs from New Zealand in order to allow them better domestic clubs. Mills was visibly upset about leaving the Braves after a successful season but he was also looking forward to returning home to play with a local club.

"The Braves have treated me superbly, and I've really enjoyed my time here," he spoke out in a departing press conference.
"We had a great season and we almost went all the way, but in the end I have no choice and it looks like I'm going to be heading home. I am of course looking forward to playing for a New Zealand team but I am a bit disappointed to be leaving as well after such an enjoyable time. I wish the Braves the best of luck for Season III and hope that they end up well."

Manager Blake will definitely be looking for a new international now to fill the gaps that have been left by Kyle Mills, but he remains certain on one thing.
"Yes, I am positive we will be keeping Dale Steyn for this season, so we will still have one strike-force with the ball," he laughed.

Blake has already made a few attempts in the transfer market but has been unsuccessful so far, with the Newcastle Giants manager calling him an idiot and claiming his trades were ridiculous.

"Well, at least I'm trying," Blake said. "I'm not sure why he hasn't been attempting some trades himself, it's not like he's going to finish anywhere with the squad he's got now."

Hedger refused to comment.

Jason Krejza is up for trade if anyone wants him. I want a batsman or all-rounder for him. No bowlers unless they are really good.
