Transparency Help

Does anybody know how to make a picture background transparent either using photoshop or paint shop pro?

Also if you check out the picture below does anybody know how to move the team logo from the right hand side to the left side?

And finally does anybody know how to decrease the size of the picture below for in the game?
It takes up 4/5 of the width of the screen i would like to make it smaller

Any help would be appreciated, Thanks alot
