Welcome to Saint Lucia, for the series between the team who dominate cricket throughout Australia, World cup runners up Sri Lanka and Odi power houses New Zealand. The 3 teams will play 2 games each, then go into the Finals and see who will be crowned the Champions.

Cricket Legend?s such as Ian Botham, Bob Willis, Michael Atherton, Steve Waugh, Ritchie Benaud and former Australian opener Justin Langer have created this fantastic tournament and given all teams a great opportunity to give players ideal game time before the 20/20 world cup.

Australia go into the series as favourites, with one of the best hitters in the world, Matthew Hayden. Hayden has dominated Test and Odi cricket with the bat for while now and is favourite with the bookies to win the Nike Pro Player man of the tournament.

Sri Lanka was beaten in the final of the Cricket world cup by Australia and hope to do better in there first match against them since, we got to speak to Mahela Jayawardene Sri Lanka captain. ?The players are ready and are training hard. At this time in my life I feel fitter than I did 10 years ago; this series is the warm up before the world cup, although were playing tests our 20/20 specialist?s are going to have a go.

Last but not least New Zealand, the underdogs for the Test series, but are not lacking on the talent. Scott Styris has shown a spark of form recently and is hoping to prove the critics right. New Odi captain Shane Bond, has some tough competition with the ball facing the likes of Brett Lee, Lasith Malinga and Shaun Tait.

The Tri-angular series is sponsored by leading sports manufacturer and the ICC.

Opening Ceremony.

Bob Willis is with special Guest Ricky Ponting at Saint Lucia, for the opening ceremony.

Bob Willis: Welcome Ricky.

Ricky Ponting: Thanks Bob

BW: First of all, you?re not playing the series due to 2 broken fingers which you suffered in training, how is it going to be watching your team Win or Loose in the opening match against New Zealand

RP: Well, New Zealand are a great team with a new captain. We have great talent in our squad to beat New Zealand, Michael Clarke and Matthew Hayden are looking in great form.

BW: McGrath came back in the week, how do you feel about this?

RP: Glen and I are great friends, and any team could use a bowler like him. He has raised the team?s spirits and everybody is on a high.
